I wish folks like OP were more open about things like this when they rave about renting vs home ownership. Granted the latter is the better long term play..but people need to be prepared.
See if you lived in the confines of NYC you wouldn’t have those issues lmaooI'm in the Valley in Cali fam. Like an hour outside of LA.

The government? Nah blame ya boy Meatball RonHomeowners insurance which if you live in Florida has gotten to an outrageous point and the government won't do anything about it
That’s the okey doke they pulling so they wouldn’t have to foot the bill. See if your homeowners insurance will cover it.. if not foot the bill and use it as a tax write off next yearLOL normally it would be on the city but since it was close enough on our side of the property and not city we had to foot the cost.
Stop complaining and cash out equity if you are having trouble making ends meetAll of the little new bills that add up. Just found out the house as a leak between our main line water supply and the city connection. shyt is 4k to fix. Last year we had issues with the septic and switched to city waste. shyt was 15k. Between that and all the regular maintenance sometimes I wanna go back to renting lol. We've gained over 200k in equity since the pandemic but those gains aren't really seen unless we sell. Anybody else kinda regret buying?

Ill do you one better, While we didn't qualify Home | NACA can do a lot in terms of helping people with down payments and getting into homes. There are ALOT of programs out there for down payment assistance etc. Remember y'all don't have to have %20 down even if you are not using an FHA loan. And you can always refinance later even if you do get mortgage insurance. We hit a like and refinanced in 2021 at %2.1 lol.You ever looked for home improvement grants/loans
