Bruh water is the fukking enemy. I had to learn how to change a shower valve in the house that was slowly leaking behind a wall. Luckily it was pretty simple because that coulda got expensive quick. The plus side is I've learned how to do ALOT of random stuff around the house and be more handy too. Youtube got the keys for a lot of stuff lol.

Yeah we looked at condo's too but the thought of an HOA on top of everything else was a turn off. Please I don't like feeling like other people can tell me what to do with my shyt. If I was single I wouldn't care AS much. If you go the build option just be sure they using good materials fam. There is a class action lawsuit in my city against a builder for using faulty materials in a whole development. People's pipes started leaking like 10 years later because the builder used the wrong type of copper.

Equity while nice doesn't mean much unless we plan to sell anytime soon. With the current market it wouldn't be the best for that. My house being worth more don't mean much unless I'm trying to use it for leverage which I'm not at the moment.

That's facts. We have money set aside for all this stuff I'm just complaining. One good thing we did starting off too was get separate house insurance too. basically we pay monthly and it cover the appliances and AC/Heat too with a small deductible. That has been clutch for random shyt happening that would be a couple hundred or thousand being cheaper too.

Very true, home insurance for expensive repairs is key, to avoid paying expensive repairs from your own pocket
