I'll take my slab leak (just repaired) over potentially having a downstairs neighbor who smokes inside during the winter, and outside during the spring.

State is CA. Yep we got a home inspection. The thing is we still found stuff out later on that either wasn’t caught or an issue at the time. All the big stuff was fine at the time so it was a go. The house was built in the 90s. But, for the side of town I’m on we got good schools and are not as close to neighbors which is hard to come by out here. Especially in new developments they be right on top of each other.

NorCal or SoCal? This is strange, inspection should have at least reported it.

Also pools can be a money trap. Insurance was trrying to ho us because we have a diving board lol. Had to take that shyt out and replace the pool pump too. Mind you this been over 5 years and not all at once.

Also houses with pools are harder to sell as potential buyers need to want a pool.

My aunt just put cement over her pool

Theres days i regret it.

The salting/ shoveling my long as driveway and path. Plus the street side that pertains to the city but i gotta keep clean.

Taking out the garbage and placing it nicely. Plus tippin them muthafukkas every holiday season.

Just spend 2k on replacing a water pipe that burst in the basement.

Its a money pit. But since buying last yr, our value has increase about 70-75k. And thats without it being properly appraised for all the renovations we made.

But i cant rent again i hope. The peace and silence i have plus the value in how much my kids love they backyard is massive. Almost priceless.
