I know nikkas said nikka before Cube:comeon:...Cube/nwa is arguably the reason we use it with reckless abandon every other sentence:sas1:

So being hyped as Ny second coming of Rakim and getting the first classic rating on your album aint better promo then being the 3rd best nikka in NWA?but your missing the point, even after everybody got a chance to hear Nas he still wasnt anticipated like Cube was as an emcee....im not soley goin off sales,im going off the real time climate....as a rapping which yall claim Nas is better at,Cube was more anticipated as a RAPPER strictly based on his talent on the mic, more than Nas ever was by hiphop fans nationally....these is hold card facts right here,if the blowjob Illmatic couldnt do the trick nothing would:mjlol:...anticipation for Cube did nothing but grow based off what he was doin to these verses, not because he was doin songs in pink suits or gettin Lauren Hill on his records:sas2:

Yall cant debate this unless you lived in a bubble at the time of course.
Cube was never crowned the best lyricist

First off, maya definitely knew her way around a multisyllabic rhyme

Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
‘Cause I walk like I’ve got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.

:troll:

But on a more serious Nas much is closer to maya angelou than cube.

blood of a slave, heart of a king

I saw a dead bird flying through a broken sky :wtf:
Wish I could flap wings and fly away
To where black kings and Ghana stay
So I could get my old flesh and rot away

I never sleep, 'cause sleep is the cousin of death

A thug changes, and love changes, and best friends become strangers

I'd post post more but I'm posting from a cell phone.

But you get the picture

#blackexcellence :ahh:

So basically Nas writes how you think a poem should sound:patrice:? A good poet doesnt waste words...with prime Cube every line he rhymed had intent, was focused, compelling, and was meant to make a impact of some sort....whether it was to make you laugh, make you angry,or make you think differently about something, prime Cube succeded in forcing whatever emotion out of you he wanted....Nas never has and never will be able to do that....Just not quite the word smith prime Cube was,Cube was a pupetter with this emcee shyt....Nas raps pretty which yall like, but doesnt impress me as much as it does yall I guess:manny:

Its no contest for me or anybody who knows what makes a great emcee:sas1:....even Don Mega era that catches hate was better than Nasty Nas era,or whatever era I Am and Nastradamus was:mjlol:...Cube was still charismatic, captivating, more thoughtful.

Nas is on nearly every human beings top five list.

Cube is not on nearly every humans top five list.

Nas is on most top three list.

Nope,he barely cracks top 3 in NY as popular choices would be Biggie and Jayz....if you think hes in most south and cali nikkas top 3's or even top 5 you just dont know no better:pachaha:....but thats irrelevent to what we was talkin about, plus made more irrelevant by the fact that Nas was relevant to multiple generations by being a full time rap artist....and Cube wasnt,so of course more people who still talk about hiphop and havent thrown in the towel, know Nas better than Cube.

Basically, pure ignorance:sas1:....most people arguing against Cube in here,im sure 80% havent really heard his music and are just talkin.

I'll go with Nas if we're still talking both in their prime

But there's literally no wrong answer here.
Prime Cube and Prime Nas are top 3.

One of the most pathetic white flags ever thrown on this site :dead:

You already played the emotional card for the 3rd time, I thought by now you would go to your other back up by talking about yourself in the 3rd person. Guess not....

Stay rambling about SirBiatch and his supposed tactics (which is off topic as fukk) but say you're not mad, brehs :pachaha:

Your argument was pathetic and made no sense all around. I don't see what's so hard about seeing that NWA had obvious influences in PE and KRS. shyt makes zero sense to me :mindblown: like, if you admit it, does it make Cube a lesser rapper all of a sudden?

HAHA There we go! You played the fake emotion card so much I was just waiting for the 'talk about myself in 3rd person' line

Good shyt breh. My argument was so pathetic yet it proved all your shytty attempts at discrediting each time. I had facts and you had nothing but your little 'Coastal inferiority' complex schtick and instead of debating with facts of your own you say 'you are afraid to admit Nas is better' when I had did that before you came in here talking like an authority when you arent.

You lost and every time you quote me to up this thread, you will continue to lose. No amount of fake emotions or talking about yourself in the 3rd person changes that. :ahh:

Keep thinking that Straight Outta Compton was the first time Ice Cube rapped the way he does, breh :salute:

I have NO PROBLEM going back and forth with you and upping this thread all day just so you know.

a) nice to see you copy my posting style. You aint mad tho :troll:
b) SOC is NWA's debut album. FACT. Yo Bumrush is P.E.'s debut album. FACT. both parties were rapping the way they rap before their debut albums. Doesn't matter. P.E. were active since '82 and put out tapes of what they were doing in 1984. Doesn't matter.

There is no way you can slice it to pretend that P.E. and KRS didn't debut at least a year before NWA. It's pathetic to watch you try and I still have no idea why you're so defensive about this. It doesn't make NWA any less dope. Great artists influence other great artists. NWA were influenced and went on to influence others because they were dope in their own right. what's wrong with admitting this? You're trying desperately to time-shave the gap without realizing that even 7-8 months is a long ass time in the music world. It takes moments to make songs. Hip hop at a certain point changed so quickly between one year and the next. But NWA were in such a bubble that they weren't influenced by KRS/P.E., despite sampling both on their debut album? :pachaha: OK breh.
