Of course they will. Once it's under the control of A.I. there's no more barriers to it. That's why they are rushing to build these data centers. Billions of dollars on 1 data center and they are building hundreds of them. Buying nuclear power plants. All meant for the system of A.I.
Democrats and Republicans both pushing for the system to be built.
They have been laying under sea fiber optics connecting all of the continents for years.
I think our one saving grace will be, the power consumption for AI is ridiculous. Apparently the US's power consumption for AI is the entire state of California's consumption in a single year; that state is over 10% of the population of the entire country. It may plateau at a certain functionality until nuclear power gets approved wholesale.
I don't know enough about the architecture to know if this can be corrected through more efficient code like Deepseek. I never got to see how efficient Deepseek is, so I don't even know if the claims are valid outside of what some news outlets have said.
So if power consumption stagnates it, we may be able to create appropriate legislation or at the very least, the general public might find ways to circumvent the most draconian aspects of it for a period of time.
