I paused the video at the 401k. Cuz a question popped up.
When they take half of the 401k is the balance treated as a early withdrawal in which there is federal penalties and other fees attached to it. Or do they just get that amount straight up with no restrictions.

he’s getting hit with penalties/fees and she’s getting taxed on it since that shyt is “income” because of the paper trail from his retirement account institution.
He better claim hardship under covid rules and try to duck those fees or blow up the 401k since he said this mess cost him his job. Just take the L up front and do whatever he can with his “half” of the cash.
