It's crazy how many people are defending this guy. We don't have a black Rick Rubin because they'd never get the benefit of the doubt without tangible skill
Have you ever heard of a man named Sean Combs?

isn't what he did really the actual role of the "executive producer" ? not an actual "producer" ?
No, what he did is what the role of producer has always been outside of HipHop. Only in hiphop do people believe the producer is the one who makes the beat.

The executive producer normally is the one who manages the budget of the album, ok's the final product, hands it to the label, decides which records are going to be released as singles and what the promotion is going to look like, but it is often just used by people in the hirarchy to get a credit on the record so they recieve a percentage of the sales.

I never understood the hype around this dude. He's good but also overrated.

However, if you can't play an instrument or sing, you can't be a GOAT musician.

I saw a few magic books in the house …

:lupe:

He's a cac who has worked with Heavy Metal bands like Slayer, who have a song titled "Black Magic"

He wasn’t playing

:damn:

Their song "Black Magic wasn't produced by Rick, but like a lot of them white Heavy Metal bands of the 80's, a lot of their lyrics and topics in their music and album covers are shrouded in things like the occult, the devil, Black Magic, Aleister Crowley, etc etc
The stuffed polar bear is even wearing a Masonic hat. Everyone in the industry is an occultist. But you have stans in here that will defend these Luciferians tooth and nail. :yeshrug:

Speaking of magic:
RHCP-BSSM.jpg

An album produced by Rick Rubin. “sex Magik” is attributed to occultist Aleister Crowley.

Just a coincidence though.

they call Black old head producers washed. but this guy is some kind of know it all benevolent guru. like he can't do shyt and doesn't even have shame about it. fukking privileged hobo.
This is the old producers fault to be honest. Them nikkas usually "wash" themselves

On many occasions I've seen hip hop producers try to coast off their hot era for the rest of their life and end up pricing themselves out the game. They become old and stubborn and often frustrated that nikkas don't treat them like gods anymore. They fail to adapt and embrace the youth and get forgotten by history

Who are the young artist Timbaland's working with? He does that "Nikkas can't afford me" shyt while he fades into obscurity. Mannie Fresh said out his own mouth that nikkas can't afford him and it's no surprise I haven't heard a new Mannie Fresh beat in about 15 years

Successful black artists isolate themselves from everyone then become curmudgeons because nikkas don't bow everytime they enter a room

Meanwhile Pharrell is constantly seeking out and working with newer artists and is treated like the god these other nikkas wish they were

Things work best when we all work together. Snoop Dogg introduced younger generations to Charlie Wilson, Kanye and eventually Tyler The Creator began using Charlie Wilson in their work. Now 22 year olds know who Charlie Wilson is. None of this would happen if Charlie was one of them "y'all owe me because I was great" ass nikkas

Y'all overstating the flowers Rubin gets just to whine
Exactly.

It’s not our fault that a couple guys big him up. He gets props for being around but not many people are calling him the goat or anything. I mean Rubin threw his name on Yeezus which I think is 100% trash. Kanye was pumping dude up and I wasn’t hearing all this he was a leech shyt then.
