:stopitslime: You have memory loss?

KG's 2 finals appearances came with a prime Pierce, blossoming/prime Rondo, and solid Ray Allen. He also had Kendrick Perkins playing Center and providing another level of defense in the paint. Pierce and Allen are already better than any teammate Dirk ever had during his 2 Finals runs. (Dirk Nowitzki played in the 2006 NBA Finals...)

KG only has an equal number of championships cause he got to play with 2 All-Stars in their primes, while Dirk got Jason Terry, 38 year old Jason Kidd, and Tyson Chandler (who can't make a shot outside of 5 feet).

And if we're talking about this "deserved" bullshyt (which is some serious :aicmon: shyt) then we can make the argument that Dirk deserves 2 rings after the WWE event that was the 2006 NBA Finals. At least Dirk beasted for his teams during his 2 Finals runs and had a GOAT performance in the entire 2011 run. KG sat back and watched Paul Pierce do the heavy lifting and get the MVP during his title run :scusthov:

Dirk is a legit #1 option you can build a team around. KG is that dude who can grab boards, play tenacious defense, and hit the outside jumper when you kick it to him. He's still a top 10 player of the decade, but like Malta said, he's a complimentary player (an amazing one), not a guy you build your squad around.

And while you want to spit out all those achievements, tell me who has better playoff numbers. Like I said before, if you take KG you still need a true #1 scorer next to him, along with all the role players. If you take Dirk, you just need complimentary role players/defenders. I'd say a #1 is much much harder to find than a rim-protector (Marc Gasol or Tyson Chandler type player), wouldn't you?

Dirk >> KG

I forgot about Dirk' 2006 finals appearance. But let's not forget that he got shut down by Haslem and missed two critical free throws in Game 3 in crunch time.

Fact remains that KG is worth more to a team than Dirk. You are caught up in nonsense about "number 1 or number 2" options. If you watched KG in his prime you saw a player that could effectively guard EVERY position, a player that could pressure full-court, set screens in the back court and was a presence defensively. Even at his old age KG's defensive presence is felt.

Since they are close in offensive productivity, but KG is an infinitely better defender, this is an easy call for me.

PS: Stephen Jackson shut down dirk in the playoffs. :shaq:

Iverson Led The League In Steals 3 Years In A Row In His Prime So Go Kick Rocks

How ironic of u to use that Bill Duke smiley, lol. Naw, steals are not equivocal of solid defense. U figure Iverson gets 2.5 or so steals a game, well, what about all the other possessions durin' a game where he: a) doesn't get a steal, or b) gets burned from gamblin' in the lanes? And those seasons never got him 1st All-Defensive team. U take steals outta the equation, this argument got no legs 2 stand on. That's why Chris Paul didn't get MVP back in '08, and Parker exposed that ass in the playoffs. :mjpls:
