True but it’s been stale for mad long. Just have to dig deeper to find dope artists. Likely the mainstream which is now just pop music, won’t ever have dope artist like 90s-early 2000s.
What you mean? 2022 was one of the best years in recent memory. I do however feel like ain't nobody been doing shyt since Drake and 21 dropped. Its only been a few months but damn nobody doing nothing?

Less money is being spent on music creation on the mainstream level than ever before.
We went from million dollar music videos, full blown commercials for albums and five different remixes for one song....to iPhone music videos recorded in their hotel rooms, lazy Instagram promos, and "leaked" songs that don't even make the album.
Artist development is basically non-existent. Plants are at an all-time high, so organic buzz for new artists is not there. These labels only want artists that have 100k streams and 100k followers on their own already, talent is secondary.
But music is forever, so something will give.

Was in that funk until I realize that cocaine raps are the new "boom bap". Boldy, Griselda, and em keeping the marsupial fed in these dire times. shyt makes me want to get a long sleeve tee shirt, a gold chain, tight ass leather jeans, and timb boots to flip a bird from them trees
