I just bought a house. I could’ve gotten this in McDonough or Ola somewhere between there and Conyers.
All brick, with this yard over 2200 sqft and a brick fence? I’ve bought two house in ATL metro in the past 10 years and that doesn’t sound right in 2023. But I also live in Gwinnett in a really good school district, so maybe that’s why :yeshrug:

But this house in McDonough is a new build with comparable acreage, but builder grade finishes, it isn’t all brick (which typically is another $20,000-$30,000), and no brick fence… and it’s already 360k. I guess it’s possible to get close to 400k, but definitely nothing less than that for a house with type of finishes and upgrades in the OP.

I’d rather not live in Texas. But you can get a spot like that out in the Atlanta suburbs too.

2 hours away? Hell of an exaggeration. Plentiful jobs in every part of Dfw. South Lake has the most money and that’s 40 minutes from Dallas
Add traffic and it's close to 1 and a half hours.

Apparently the house in the OP was more expensive. So we both kinda right

If you're the type of person that spends more time otuside the house than in, then easily you'd prefer living in a big city

House is great but you’re in Texas. No thank you. I’m not raising my kids in a state where every yokel can carry a firearm and the governor is actively trying to dismantle black history.

If I was single different story.
Not only that when TX brehs bring up these houses its usually 40 mins away form the city, a neighborhood full of cacs, property taxes that are so high it outweights the money you would save.
