@O.T.I.S. No hate Breh… It’s just that Drake never passed the smell test to me. He seemed phony and in the end, I was right. My sister put me on to his mixtape back in 2008 or 09.

I’m a light skinned, getting hoes type of dude, so it wasn’t even that. He just sounded like a bytch to me.

:manny:
He's an actor that raps
It was all fake. Aubrey got off degrassi but never stopped acting. "Drake" is just a role he plays. The ghostwriters and reference tracks just provided the scripts for him rehearse and act out.

That’s crazy.. because most rappers feel phony to me :manny:

But I do actually like sonically pleasing music, and if it’s shyt I can watch women shake ass to when I go out, the. :manny:

I feel hiphop doesn’t always have to be some “gangster”, pimp, sex worker shyt. And there’s nikkas who “sound” and nikkas who actually are.

Idc the nikka lightskinned though, that’s just what these nikkas bring up everytime

Breh I liked his music. It's the artist himself I don't like. I just listened to lemon pepper freestyle again at the gym today. But billboard is a popularity contest. You need a good reputation as an artist to make it and stay on there. Nobody stopping folks from listening to Drake but when dude is looked at as a pedophile he's naturally getting tuned out a lot more regardless of truth of allegations or not. And truthfully with him falling off that lane is open for another artist to take the spot he almost 40 anyways he had a mn amazing run

And I don’t too much listen to nikkas music for their personality, especially if I don’t fukking know them. It’s usually just about the music for me.. nikkas whose personalities I’ve seen and like (Nip, X, Nas, Lupe, Cole, etc) end up being favorites of mines. But I’m not running up to get autographs or shyt from them either.

And I was under the impression that Billboard was based off songs be played/requested the most? I could be wrong so lmk.

And that’s the thing too.. was buddy ACTUALLY a pedo? Like was he fukking kids and there was proof? Nobody said it until that Kendrick nikka and it spread like wildfire.. just like Diddy. Pedo isn’t a term to play with in my mind, especially just to win a rap beef.

But I agree again, he did have a solid run. Thats why I said eventually everything ends. There’s just no one to fill the void of actually making hit, popular songs.

The biggest consumers white people and Hispanics isn’t buying any of this bullshyt today

And these non talented artist today are just using rap as a quick cash grab

They don’t rap about no social or political issues, they don’t address any real issues at all on microphone

Its all about party and bullshyt

u got these young nikkas so quick to say so and so NLE choppa is the new 2pac:mjlol:

2pac went at politicians, police, sellout blacks besides talking about partying and other shyt

These new nikkas don’t stand for shyt except for their dead homie in the grave who killed people themselves
:childplease:

but yet its that too :yeshrug: you cant discrimihate cos you done read a book or two

i do think the balance is off. hiphop has always had party/bullshyt songs. hopefully the pendulum will swing back one day

And there’s a lot of actor/rappers :dahell:

Do you brehs really think he was going around acting like Nipsey or something? Dude was just a rapper to me that made party music. I like to party :yeshrug:

Work hard party harder was literally a lifestyle. And he owned that era in that style.

I think a lot of nikkas take rap too serious or to heart. Most of it is just shyt talking and bragging… Most these nikkas are not living the life they rapping about, imo. How are they more believable?

I like lyricist that actual say something different, meaningful, or important. Hence my taste… other than that, it better have a good beat or make asses jiggle

Above the fray.
fukk the charts. Artists have to make a living, but once average fans started giving a fukc about chart positions and record sales, that was funnier than a classic comedy routine.

Nah it was deeper than that breh. Like I get most rappers are fake but brodie was too fake and it caught up with him. You probably won't understand it but that's how it is. Never disliked brehs music tho

Alright brethren

Like I said, we can agree to disagree. I don’t take rap or rappers too serious... Idc what they do/think outside of rap unless it’s something dumb or egregious.

But I’m not coming to them for their opinions on shyt.. with all the blatantly fake shyt out here too..

It’s our generations fault ..not going to put the blame on these young nikkas

our generation allowed the watering down of what hip hop is

Our generation fully embraced thot and dumbed down rap

Our generation fully embraced pop-rap

Our generation made it cool to act like something is hot because the hoes liked it

This goes for both mainstream and underground…nikkas like Larry June and Westside Gunn ain’t nice either .

fukk outta here with that Gen Z shyt .

I barely post in the Booth now. I barely listen to hip-hop past 2015 outside of a few artist. Hell I'm listening to yacht rock right now.
