Drake is whack as f*ck, definitely no substance, no versatility, no nothing. the reason why artists like Pac, KRS, Pun, Biggie, Nas, Jay, Kane, Rakim and all these GREATS are held in such high esteem is because of the quality of work they've amassed over the years! not to mention the high level calibre of skill they brought while doing it. Drake has never done a song like this/these and never will.....

It's not that is a weak criticism but I think 'substance' is a bit of a cop out just strictly based on the fact it can be very much up to the person if they feel like it has substance or not. Also just because something may have substance doesn't make it a great song to some.
For example I think Brenda Has A Baby is a cool concept for a song, it has substance, I personally like the song. I however have seen a ton of people that say its a poor song. I think Nas 'I can' has good substance to it but is a bad song IMO. I don't like listening to it at all when it comes on.

Nah...I was directly referencing the clown who called him a legend. I was stating that damn near anyone whom has legendary status were great writers or composers. I was quoting legendary artists in multiple genres and all of them were know for their substance. Like I have stated in this thread already, I have enjoyed some of drake's music including up to NWTS. It's just that now he has done nothing but spit pretty much the same 3 or 4 verses with switch up for whatever styling the song is. And this is what the world's TOP Rapper is now???

There is NO WAY he is a legendary artist. He's not even on the path. I like doods music too. Clearly not on the same side of the fence as you are on this one but theres not enough marijuana in Los Angeles to get me high enough to think he's a legend.
