that same argument can be made for quite a few albums from nyc on here that gets called "classics", im from the northeast and that album was always regarded as a classic where I'm from.
Ok. I can't speak to where you're from. I knew one breh who liked 36 in college. Sipping was dope though. Chicken head and Don't save her I just laughed at. :yeshrug:

I'm not arguing that 36 doesn't have a classic. They definitely have regional classics. And that album in particular was really big with white people. According to 36's record label at least. What I'm asking for is for someone to name an album not associated with 36 that has a strong 36 influence.
Kind of like how CNN had a strong Mobb Deep influence and dropped a classic in War Report.

CNN doesnt have a classic Album lol

I find it funny East Coast Albums can be Classic when everything else is considered a Regional Classic.

Allegedly this came out in 1992, according to Wikipedia. And I think that's pretty accurate considering their other projects that mentioned/mensions something about the Year

Admittedly I haven't heard all of the Prince Rakim, Masta Ace, and GZA records. But you could make something fresh n bouncy with that Serial Killaz beat if you got the right direction.

I can't say the same for too many Wu records. From the early early 90s that could make a boom Nationwide. From a dorky guy in a suit point of view. yugitthat

Three Six's impact and influence is literally only second/third to NWAs and RUN DMCs.

They're eaisly top 3

I take nothing from these guys:salute:

Even two live crew who had music band and laws changed in regards music and freedom of speech :childplease:

I just think when you in the middle of a run its easy to get caught up and start crown'n folks

Like that whole chopped and screwed Houston era :scust:

Wasn't a fan but could appreciate some of it

But if in that moment of that run
You stop and say this person in Houston most influential because I can trace and see the heavy influence and impact they have now on wants currently popp'n:yeshrug:

Give it some time :whoa:

Many of the artist that earn the crown
Don't need others to bring light to their art or craft:leon:

Again not knocking just saying it didn't take someone else wearing adidas for people to appreciate run dmc
Or for others to speak out about cops, and to tell gritty street stories
To appreciate NWA

But to each they own if they've laid a foundation and are the architects for what could be a long run. And not just an overnight fad:salute:

Three Six aint' no where near top 3.

NWA basically started westcoast hip hop

Geto Boys basically started Southern Hip Hop

Public Enemy basically started East Coast Hip Hop

Then you got other big time groups like WuTang and Outkast. Top 10, but they ain't top 3.

Can't speak on this to much longer and like I said I made this thread back in Jan

A lot of our Coli brehs throw trap shade even though it's transformed hip hop and still dominates the culture today.

A lot of our Coli brehs have been itchin and fiendin for trap to die off or at least die down so something new can come into play but it hasn't

Three six isn't some hip hop fossil or hip hop artifact. You can put Mista Don't play on right now with a 19 year old who was just bumping Dave East or 21 Sav or Kodak Black and they're going to keep nodin and vibing

Three six did what other classic groups couldn't do with their sound.

Their sound transcends time.

Think about that... I play certain classics from the 90s and its dated. It's trapped in time. You still appreciate the music but it's trapped.

Old Cashmoney/No Limit didn't age like triple 6.

Clap for them while some of them are still breathing..
