I forgot all about Bun B. He deserves mention to as a candidate as G.O.A.T of the South. I'll actually put him behind Dre and in front of TI. Though they are both interchangeable to be.

Yeah but he has ripped other people's tracks for years and that has helped get Andre all this praise. Cuz Bun was ripping them UGK albums just like Dre was the Outkast ones.

In from the south and i must say i give T.I a spot in my top ten. Hes cleary not the best, but as an artist, dude is good. Ive been rocking with him since the psc mixtapes and he has come along way way. If you look at his rhymes from a technical standpoint, hes a beast. His flow is ridiculous and hes versatile when he really wants to be.

Me personally, i dont get all the hate for T.I vs T.I.P. That album rides from beginning to end, especially if you bump it while your blazed. Not to mention his guess verses. The ones with dipset,

LOL@nikkas comparing T.I. to Fab. Fab is trash. Only current rappers with better catalogs than T.I. are nikka who been dropping albums for over 15 years Jay-Z & Nas. Catalog wise he's top 4 of all-time without question.

Scarface will always be the king of the South as well as the best. Andre is number two and would have a shot at number one if he had more solo music out. I put TI over Jeezy cuz he has released more albums and has had a longer run. TI could have got to number one if he didn't get knocked off with those two jail terms during the prime of his career.

tip wasn't even #1 amongst his peers before he was getting locked up.

and he didn't start getting booked until after he peaked anyway. besides, catching cases is supposed to increase your popularity. so going to prison isn't an excuse.

T.I. had the opportunity to be a mega star and recognized as probably the most famous southern rapper ever, but then the jail shyt fukked him up right when he was peaking. He could've and should've been bigger than Luda ever was...in terms of popularity with all audiences & a household name.

He's always made cool music, but I just feel like he raps on & on about nothing. His lyrics have never impressed me.
