Yep and PS2 their first DVD player. Nothing wrong with it just remember that. I had a sony discman back in the day and cats thought I was Richie Rich with that shyt.
I'm not laughing at it being their first, I'm laughing because its funny as hell to think a video game system was used to play music. That was unheard of before that. I'm just thinking back that's all.

You would be right, if Beat's original marketing campaign hadn't gone at exactly what you're saying people don't give a fukk about-->

"Beats' original product line were Beats by Dr. Dre headphones. In promotional materials, Dr. Dre outlined the line's advantages by alleging that listeners were not able to hear "all" of the music with most headphones, and that Beats would allow people to "hear what the artists hear, and listen to the music the way they should: the way I do.""

Jay Z didn't pull this idea out of his ass, its the EXACT fukkING MODEL that beats used to dominate the market.
Damn, you just shut this shyt down with FACTS. I forgot that was the model jimmy was bragging about.

Where are they going to get CD quality music, and can choose over 20 million songs anytime they want?

I am always putting people on to new music or shyt they never heard, you might not have what I play for you.
You're moving the goalpost, again, no, no other streaming service has 20 million cd quality songs, but you don't have access to anything they can't get. People are not going to feel like they got stunted on because of the streaming service someone else subscribes to. They can easily discover new music as well and cop it or download it.

shyt, I've seen $1000 headphones a few months back when I wanted to know which "high end headphones" sound best, many of them professional brands, dudes are sitting here acting like the average consumer cares about brands/equipment at that level. They don't because caring about that level of performance is not valued outside of professionals or aficionados.
I can agree with you on this the average consumer doesn't care about the luxury brands of headphones past beats at this time. That might change in the future but right now most cats think beats are the end all be all of headphones. The sennheiser and all them other brands people on avg don't care yet. I think we can all agree on that. Most people think the high end stuff sounds wack since they are so used to the bass sounds of the more popular stuff to be honest. Just me listening to tracks on Bose headphones and Beats you hear a difference so I know with the higher up headphones its going to be an even bigger difference.

I don't care how it sounds, it is the truth. Why do you think mix CD's only started coming out in 1995/1996, while CDs themselves were available since 1988? Its because a lot of people couldn't afford CD players, at least blacks, Asians, and Latins.

it's not the truth, it's an absolute lie

1.CD's have been available since 1982.
2. Playstation launched at $299 in 94.
3. Mix CD's started coming out then, because actual Mix TAPES were the dominant format before them.

CD players were such a luxury in 1994, that nobody had them til they got brand new Playstations :heh:

I knew you wasn't laughing at that but it was which I agree was crazy. Not too crazy because I remember I had the game gear and the tv tuner back in the day which wouldn't even work today. I also don't know what that Megatron dude talking about because I know a lot of people didn't have a CD player until the playstation. Next dude going to tell us most people had a computer in their homes back in the 80's. I know that isn't true even though I had that and a CD player well my parents did so let me give credit where credit is due.

Bose and other brands have said that for years and didnt move the needle, what worked, was fukking dr dre, dr dre is considered on of the top producers, if he says these are great, ok, I want them! People wanted what dre had, not superior listening quality, had that been the original need, that market wouldn't need a dre co-sign.

No shyt jayz co-signing this is whats going to make people try (buy it), but it's not creating a mass market for lossless audio when that's what you've been listening to via physical media or lossless downloads. It sure isn't creating a luxury brand as dude said, and there are a million ways to replace it. You can't have beats without buying beats, you can have hifi audio without tidal.

They didn't so why you acting like they did? That's when it became mainstream because most cats was still on the cassette flow back then. nikka rewriting history and shyt. This dude fukking his own arguments up CDs been out since 82 but you think people had LL, Run DMC, MJ, Prince on cd though in the 80's like in the 90's? Stop it fam you on that shyt.

When 9 year old white girls hop on spotify and want to jam Beyonce and Taylor Swift in their parents new SUV and then they realize the shyt's not there: :ohhh: "Mommy mommy, how come the new TSwift isn't on here?! Becky had it on that Tidal thing.. We need to get that instead"

1-CD's may have been made in 1982 but, there was very little music on them at the time. You know this, why are you playing games?

2-ok?

3-I was a DJ, mixtapes were the main format because most people didn't have CD players for the CDs, they mostly had tapes, hence mix tapes being so big. I remember in 1997/1998 is when thingsmstarted changing in a large number.

Read what I wrote. Black, Latins, and some Asians, I didn't write everybody.
