I ask bc my older sister is temporarily living with me and my girl. She been with this dude for about 7 months. He's cool and respectful to her so I have no problem with him. She told me yesterday that she's gonna move in with him soon. She grown so she can do what she wants but the thing is she couldn't really explain why she thinks it's time. She said it just feels right. Me and my girl lived together since we were 15 so I don't know nothing about all that as an adult.

I'm just wondering what made other people realize it was time to shack up.

Shes adopted and her parents didn't like her dating someone like me bc she was in all AP classes and I was dabbling in the illegal sales of pharmaceuticals. They told her either leave me or get out so she left. My mom has a big heart and didn't want to see someone on the street with so much going for them in life after all she's been thru so she let her live with us. Been with her ever since

She left and got emancipated. My mom went to court and they let her legally leave her parents to live with us. It wasn't planned so there's a lot of things I didn't experience when it comes to relationship issues. I be wondering how other people deal with things sometimes

My sister is in her 30s but she's always gonna be my sister. Even though she's older I treat her like my lil sister. Dude is a welder offshore so I'm guessing his money is good. I don't pocket watch but he has his own car and apartment. We in new orleans so she's still close enough for me to pull up if I have to. Like I said she's grown so she can do what she wants. I was just wondering how people decide when to move in with their girlfriend/boyfriend without thinking about marriage.

Timeline isn’t the issue. It depends on where they at mentally and financially especially as you get older because that shyt holds more weight. It’ll either build or destroy them. I’ve experienced both. Having to go to the bar before you get home to prepare yourself for some bullshyt soon as you step in the door is fukking terrible. Same scenario diff energy having a blunt rolled up/drink poured up, home cooked meal, and some cheeks soon as you step in the door after a long day is amazing. Can’t call it until you go through it
