They made the WCF in back to back years 1993 and 1994..( Gilmour, clark, Potvin, etc)

Yes they were in the west during that time, can you believe it.

For realignment reasons because of league expansion( the nhl grew bigger with new teams between 1998 and 2001 )They moved out to the eastern conference in 1998

They then made the ECF in 1999 and 2002.( sundin, Curtis Joseph, Roberts, mogilny, Tucker, McCabe etc era)

you’re talking of 2002, that year they lost in six games to the hurricanes, on home ice at the air Canada center ( ACC) then now the scotiabank arena. In 2003 they lost in 7 to the Philly flyers in round 1 then the following year (2004) they lost again to Philly in round 2 but. 6 games this time.

Yes the Campbell conference became the western conference and the wales conference became the eastern conference

I guess as a kings fan, you will always remember and cherish that classic 1993 campbell conference Finals( leafs vs kings, Toronto vs Los Angeles, Gretzky vs Gilmour, coach Barry Melrose vs coach pat burns, Potvin vs hrudey….)

People/media in Toronto still talk about that Kerry Fraser non call on Doug gilmour in game 6 of that series….they still believe it should have been a 4 minute penalty !

If you’re still a kings fan to this day you probably hate the oilers more than God hates satan. The oilers just eliminated your team for the fourth straight year, this spring.
