It's a clear shot at Bron. He's implying that holding the ball 16-20 seconds into the shot clock like a Bron (or Harden) is unimpressive. He'd much rather have a player who can advance the ball and keep the offense flowing quickly (e.g. KD, Giannis, Jokic), even it means you don't get credited with the assist because you're not the last person to pass the ball.

Basically saying ball movement is better than bron ball which we already know. I dont think bron has ever gotten the most out of his teammates within the system he plays. Everything revolves around his strengths so guys like Bosh, Wade, Love, etc. got to take a step back. He played off-ball in Miami for a stint and his efficiency exploded. Not sure why he reverted back to putting up hollow numbers. Its equally baffling how dude never developed a better set of post skills.

No it isn’t. Your comprehension isn’t adding up.

Kyrie being hurt(2015) and KD joining a stacked Warriors team is why it didnt work as much. Not Bron ball if we're keeping it real :ld:

He was giving Lebron props for the fact that he can be mistaken for a point guard.

Yup. I see why OGs like Malta don't post here no more with this type of shyt :heh:

I don't even care for Lebron one way or another but it's bewildering that a clear compliment from Kukoc is being baited as a diss :dead:

I read this report hours ago and was like "Cool, Toni saying players are more multi-talented than ever before."

That's pretty much the only "controversial" takeaway.. that's really not controversial at all.

I don’t think it was a shot he was just saying prefers a diff style of play. Seems like he complimented Bron for being mistaken as a PG

He basically said today’s game is better.

Also it’s not a shot at LeBron. Kukoc was also a point forward.

Skill level has improved breh.

dont think that’s fully accurate...more like different skill sets are being emphasized...post play and the in between game are, for the time being at least, being largely phased out of the game...amongst other things... a player like Kevin Mchale is largely considered among the most highly skilled low post players of all time, and in the modern game he’d get to showcase almost none of it...he’d be told to work on his 3 point shot so that some perimeter player on his team can have more space to dribble for 20 seconds before chucking a 3, or drive and kick for a 3 from someone else...does that mean one of the GOAT post oriented forwards ever is less skilled than a modern stretch forward that also occasionally walks the ball up? Not really

yes I know not every player back then was a HOF’er like mchale but giving an extreme example to make the point....there isn’t some linear line of evolution of “skills” in the NBA...it’s more like fashion where things are “different” moreso than “better”

But yeah, generically he’s making the same ball movement > bron ball argument a lot of us make...more teams are going the heliocentric route than the warriors or beautiful game era spurs way nowadays though
