he impressed me more

beat Jordan, Magic and Bird led teams in one season

routinely made Jordan's Bulls his bytch until 1991, and ended an era of the two most recognisable NBA super teams

so close to a dynasty run of his own with the Bad Boy Pistons...2x champ and 1x Finals MVP

and just amazingly skilled player...the handles, the vision, the jump shot, the clutch, the bravery, the defense....

he had it all

Bill Russell beat a team led by Oscar Robertson, a team led by Wilt Chamberlain and a team led by Jerry West & Elgin Baylor in the same year, all in their primes. Won 11 rings in 13 seasons with two of them coming as a player-coach (The first black coach in NBA history I might add), averaged 15/23/4 for his career, if the award existed back then would likely be the all-time leader in DPOY wins, would also likely be the all-time leader in FMVP's if the award existed at the time, 2nd all-time in rebounding, would at least be in the top 2-3 in blocks all-time if the stat was tracked when he played. Also easily one of the most athletic bigs the NBA has ever seen

Magic is my 6th best player on my imaginary list so I will go with him. Wilt has the stats and the numbers and Bill has the rings so I rate both of them slightly higher than him. But I wouldn't argue with anyone who had Magic as high as number 2 on their list.

you claim you aren't biased and wtf is this shyt? kobe better than MJ? nope.

yep that's all impressive but no doubt he played in a less competitive era...I can't help but ignore that

but breh this dude is so hard to rank

you made it sound like he's top 3 worthy, and sometimes people have them at the back end of their top 10s....him and Wilt are just hard to rank

especially with the lack of stat trackers as you alluded to

I said top 4 is interchangeable, and if Kobe had Pippen on his team for the duration of his prime, he'd get AT LEAST 6......prolly closer to 8 tho. Mt. Rushmore is interchangeable tho. List is still far more credible than your ESPN influenced list, which has Duncan above Kobe and Lebron gunna end up 6 or 7 slots ahead of Kobe

My top 3 is MJ, Magic & Kareem. I'd rank him & Wilt at 4 & 5 interchangeably. But if somebody were to put them in their top 3 I wouldn't have any objections. Or if somebody felt like they wouldn't put them in the top 5. But completely out of the top 10? Idk, I don't think there's 10 players that had better careers than they did.

I think you could make a case for a handful of players that aren't in this top 10 to break in like Hakeem or Oscar or Julius Erving or Isiah etc.

It depends on what you value most or the bias of the era you watched maybe amongst many factors

If the thread can't be stickied, can we at least ban Kobestans from voting and posting in the threads from now on? They're :mjcry: and trying to ruin this just because precious Kobe got an early exit.
