FedEx is a grass field. 2 ACLs torn in 1 game

FedEx is a shytty field and was in bad condition for that game. It's an outlier.

I like the look of field turf, and the rubber pebbles that are added to it to make it more compact help the officials see dragged toes lines substantially easier. I firmly believe that at the pro level every field should be grass unless your team plays in a place where it isn't feasible to keep the grass healthy for the length of the season. Arizona was very forward thinking with their stadium and the system they have in place to maintain the grass field. More NFL teams and major college programs should continue that trend.

Give me grass anytime for playing on. Astroturf is like playing on sandpaper, especially some of the short cut fields. Your shyt WILL get ripped up especially if you dive for a ball. You can't even use cleats, so if you forgot on gameday that you were playing on Astroturf, you better hope you were wearing your old sneakers or else goodbye mobility.
Artificial grass is :ehh: but them rubber pellets get everywhere. I once saw a teammate get some stuck in his eye n they had to spend a good 10 minutes hosing his eye off.

San Diego and Tampa always have great natural fields.

One thing I would say is that they're way more field turf surfaces than grass. Grass fields seem rare now. Couldnt that impact the stats?

I hate field turf, unless your playing in
a dome and I miss dirty uniforms

It ain't the turf. It's a combination of things. Bad luck (Always the case). Rule Changes (Defenders going lower now). The way people play and how it's coached (people don't break down anymore to tackle and coaches try to force offensive players to make cuts faster/harder. It doesn't seem like anyone keeps their feet under them anymore)

Grass Fields are overwhelmingly more common than field turf at most schools.

but playing on that shyt, just doesn't feel right...especially when your body is used to cutting and playing at full speed on grass.

N1gga I guarantee there are way more field turf fields. Big schools like Texas and OSU got tired of the maintenance. Look it up and stop pulling stuff out cha azz.

Big schools like Oklahoma,Stanford,UCLA,Florida State,Virginia Tech,Penn State, USC,Florida,Alabama,Geogia,LSU,Tennessee.... continue to play on natural grass, and hybrid blends of grass... like most programs have, currently do, and will continue to do.

Bish, you constantly pull lies out of your azz. You know less than sh1t. Shut the fukk up and keep your lies to yourself.

Most teams in cold climates and share facilities, use field turf. SMh at u naming schools in the south and west. Smarten up hoe. My point is theyre a lot more smaller schools that use field turf to keep cost lower. And thia could have slanted the injury statistics.

There are more schools, in the South :rudy:.

The Big 12,C-USA,Sun Belt, American,ACC and SEC all overlap into the south ( the most populous region in the US)....and most of America does not live in cold climates

and i'm talking the entirely of college, not D1 schools either...grass is still overwhelmingly the more common playing surface.

The injury statistics presented were from the NFL ... not college.
