He good when he has a direct target. Which he has right now. There’s a direct issue and he’s addressing it. But outside of that, he doesn’t offer a lot in his rhymes. He can diss a nikka I will give him that. But like I said. He does better with a target. Most of the time he’s rapping like other people. He can make good music off the back of his hand. And he’s not a bad rapper by any stretch. There is a reason this is his best album. And that’s because he himself is actually going through something and has something to rap about this time. From his perspective. And yet and still he’s delivering it in a way that isn’t his own. The nikka has the ability to have one song that sounds like there’s 3 features on it but it’s only him. Lol

He’s focused on dissing nikkas , declaring his innocence, saving his career, and mourning a failed toxic relationship. He channeled all of that into a good album. But there’s nothing on this album that convinces me that he’s capable of a KOD, TPAB, Untitled, 4:44, Be, etc. Thats SUBSTANCE to me. Hell when Nas had his back against the wall and he came out swinging with Stillmatic there was still One Mic, What Goes Around, 2nd Childhood, Rule, Your The Man, and Every Ghetto on there.


This album is comparable to a MUCH better version of Ja Rule’s Blood In My Eye.

He's rapping about his real life in a compelling way. If that's not substance, then what is?
