What's up hip hop heads, I just joined the forum. Looking for a good place to talk hip hop, this place seems pretty good. I thought this was a big event for hip hop, battle rap doesn't get enough love these days. It's nice to see some of the most respected names hip hop put it on a platform like that.

I can't believe Budden put the mic down, though... come on, man...

Hollow was a complete fail on Saturday. If Hollow was on his A game, he would've easily beat that Joe Budden. But he was ASS. His angles were disjointed and didn't hit, his bars were average (he did have some cold ones though) and he seemed uninspired. He's made 60 K this year off battles and it's only July, so I can see him getting a little lazy.

Hollow was absolutely garbage.

I took time to think about this & I came to the conclusion that he simply had no idea what to expect from Joe in the battle, therefore he had no idea how to prepare.

If anyone remembers that interview he had with unbiasreview, he said he declined Lux at SM2, because he had no idea what Lux's approach was gonna be. This left Lux with either Calicoe or DNA.

I believe Hollow needs to have some type of idea of how his opponent is gonna come at him, regardless he really fukked up.

i didnt think hollow was as bad as some of you guys, budden also a lot of his shyt was corny to me. not the best hollow by any means but not wack idk i liked hollow until the third i thought he didnt get on joe about the woman too well in that third but I liked his angle in the first of coming at TS for being a mainstream knock off and going at iovine and rosenerg, i did not expect that at all. i also dont see how the battle was close even with a subpar hollow. i thought hollow won 3-0 easily, some of joes shyt was beyond corny and if dna or todd said the shyt you would say that but because its budden and because its vs hollow yall dikkride, budden was trash he shouldnt battle again

like joe getting on hollow for having more money aint mad predictable ?? but if hollow mentioned tahiry thats wack though, thats some hypocritical shyt

for example one of budden best lines was the slow bucks shyt, how is that different than when dna takes a current event and makes a bar and yall hate every time ? stop being biased, joe was trash and mediocre hollow still bodied him, and suddenly delivery dont count, hollow won all 3 rounds on performance and devilry alone, joe wasnt battle rapping he was just rapping he said it himself

hollow had some cold shyt, for some reason ive noticed it vs surf, lux and now budden, hollow has mad cold bars thats people hate on but then they gas the fukk out of reaches and schemes that aint that cold. hollows supposed dry spots in the third vs lux at the end of his round were actually cold as fukk. ive come to the conclusion some nigggas just dont like hollows style
