She still should have won the Independent vote. As bad as she was, Trump was an extremist and morally bankrupt candidate. Trump literally said he wanted to ban all Muslims from coming into the US during the primary. The grab em by the p*ssy tape came out right before the general election. All that should have sunk him with Independents. Instead he still won Independents.

Mind you, these Independents I'm talking about are white people. They see economic issues and age first over race and extremism. DeSantis extremist record won't matter against Biden. Besides the things I listed about age, if Inflation is still a problem, that will help DeSantis and hurt Biden with Independents in the main election.

Never trust white people to do the right thing for an extended period of time.

Trump's trying to make it seem like he's a political prisoner..:childplease:

And his reptilian republican cronies holding his dikk telling him it's all political. But Trumps the one who made it political by paying off a hooker to silence her so it doesnt affect his new political career..Also none of them have said Trumps innocent.

I can see D.A's fighting over this serial criminal as he broke the law everywhere..perhaps in Red states they protect him.

Trump is getting washed again by Biden.
Biden is the only president to not lose a senate seat in a midterm in over 90 years and that's because the midterms were about Trump.
Exactly.

Biden is PRAYING that Trump wins the nomination because he knows the GOP insiders wanna be done with Trump and he also knows that's the one candidate that would get even reluctant voters to the polls.

DeSantis is obviously a snake and probably more dangerous (effective) but I feel like his case will fall apart as soon as people actually pay attention to him.

Heres my thing. DeSantis is defending Trump tho :russ:

fukking idiot :laff:
It's strategic because he knows that they have an overlap in their voter bases.

DeSantis outright attacking Trump and doubling down on it would sabotage his political career.

Truth. DeSantis is popular only because the establishment is pushing him.....but he's not been vetted yet.

All the shyt he's doing in Florida? 2/3 of the country doesn't even know. It would be a very tight race.
Also, Florida had a trash Democrat candidate in the last election who was a former Republican and had a bad campaign.

And DeSantis is very polished politician and sounds like a milquetoast Kermit The Frog even when he's trying to convey emotion while Trump comes off like that guy in the bar who speaks in a more informal way and "tells it like it is."

The latter approach appeals to working class White Americans and the "poorly educated" much more than DeSantis.

Bingo!

Charlie Crist was the Dem candidate right?

The rich/wealthy don't care who wins as long as things continue business as usual....though they prefer GOP because it's easier to load the deck while Dems are more unpredictable on socioeconomic issues (let's raise taxes on the rich).

Working class/middle class whites love "plain talking" white guys. A smooth/smart/slick guy does nothing for them. You can either be the compassionate conservative like Bush or the blow hard like Trump. An Obama type wouldn't appeal to them unless he could be extra folksy.

This was a made-up narrative narrative created to justify the bombings. (which goes for 90% of the shyt fed to the American public about that bombing) The two nukes were dropped way too close together to be able to gage Japanese opinion like that at all. There was literally just two days in-between. And the Japanese weren't fighting the Americans at all on that point, they were stuck isolated on their island with no air or sea forces left and pretty much were just getting bombed mercilessly by US air forces with nothing they could do about it.

The only major fighting going on at the time was the Russian invasion. The Russians completely overwhelmed Japanese forces in Manchuria, South Sakhalin, and the Kuril Islands. That invasion began the night before the 2nd US bomb was dropped and continued after the bomb. What was going on in Nagasaki had no meaningful impact on the campaign and the Japanese soldiers fought the same either way.

The real reason two bombs were dropped (as expressed by multiple US military leaders at the time) is because Truman and the scientists wanted to test both uranium and plutonium bombs. The bombings had been planned back in May and ALWAYS included two bombs being dropped. The actual military situation was irrelevant. In fact, they explicitly order the air forces to avoid bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki between May and August, because they wanted to have a relatively virgin testing ground to study the full impact of the bomb.

This much is entirely true, and goes for pretty much any war in addition to political battles.
Man, I read such a well written article about the bombings. It broke it down by the day and the hour.

They were worried about the Russians like you said. They were damn near on their doorstep.

The Americans were shredding their cities so two bombs being dropped didn't mean much. By the time the Japanese leaders heard about them, it was like "Meh, we have more pressing issues."

I had no idea we were lied to like that for all these years.
