nope don't work like that.. Drake is off the hook now. You want Drake to admit it but have no problem with Kanye never admitting it, Common never admitting it or any of these other rappers that haven't admitted it. Just say you don't like his music and keep it moving

Ye is a producer, I've never been a big fan of his raps. If he gotta fall like Drake, so be it. :yeshrug:

Common credited Fest on "Glory", a song 20+ years into his career.

Drake needed help on his very first mix tape, and didn't even want to credit his writers. And needed multiple writers for every project since then, at the height of his career.

Yeah, he's off the hook. Same thing.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I've been trying to tell nikkas. I've seen "help" with my own eyes. Haven't seen FULL out songs written from sessions but flows and hooks????? Hellllllll yeah.
But the argument ain't ever been about hooks or lines here n there. THAT ain't ghostwriting. nikkas talking bout getting whole verses and songs written for em and having reference tracks on deck. Lol. I used to ghostwrite. I know the difference.

maaaaaaan if you WANNA add reference tracks in it can get UGLY. Just because dudes get reference tracks don't mean they are gonna use the verses. Most times it's just a vision for the song. Most rappers just keep the hooks. And sometimes the flow. Most times they put their own bars on it. And this regular ass shyt in damn near every session I sat in. If dudes are TRULY ghostwriting you don't see them credited at ALL. I've seen dudes get writing credits for telling a rapper to use a certain adlib. On the Coli nikkas will tell you that means they wrote the whole song. :mjlol:

Why are people copping pleas? Does it really matter when and which songs? If you think ghostwriting is some unforgivable offense in regard to Hip Hop, it shouldn't matter.

This was my exact point when people were outraged over the Drake situation. Nobody would overlook Drake using ghostwriters and his career would've suffered, but Hip Hop has always given passes to rappers who use writers. "Yeah, he has a writer, but he produces, so he gets a pass". "Yeah, he has a writer, but he's not claiming he's the best rapper, so he gets a pass".
