People have lost all communication comprehension.. They pick out the parts they want to argue about and focus on that.

That was just an extreme example... An example where he didn't even mention how much more the woman was making.. That could be the light bill in a project apt for all we know.

Main point was if you getting all the love and your family is good, don't throw it all away cause he makes less.. Don't let money get in the way of love. Seems like what was taught throughout all of history but now women THINK they have the upper hand, they want new rules

I think all blacken raised in fucntional homes are taught to get their money up. Every black man I know raised in a functional home does so. When I hear black women say this it’s another red flag that this lady has been dating too many pookies.

If you want to talk about comprehension then talk about Tyler perry incorrectly saying black women make more. They don’t.

Also you have to consider how your audience will take your message. He should have used a better example than just paying a light bill

I probably shouldn't comment on a thread this long but I'm tired of BW intentionally misinterpreting this message, regardless of who it comes from.
Nobody told them they should date impoverished Black men. They do that own their own anyway.
The "light bill" scenario wasn't literal.
It's really simple. Sackchasing is not going to guarantee you a good relationship.
If he checks all the boxes as man and as a partner to you, the fact that you make 70K and he makes 55K shouldn't be a deal breaker.
And please spare me the myth about how all BW in America are rolling in dough.
Too many BW are not looking for financially stable men, they're looking for RICH men. They're looking for men to fund their fantasy lifestyle.
No one is telling BW to "settle for less", they're just telling them to get their heads out of the clouds.

My dad would be considered low value by a lot of modern day women for simply not making more than my mom.

Funny enough when I talk about my dad I speak more about his work ethnic and house work ethic first and women are usually impressed.

When I wait and tell then he made less than my mom they are shocked.

People overuse the term "settling". Settling is if a 5 star recruit in football picks a lesser school like Western Michigan when he has offers from Bama or Georgia. When folks "settle" for something, you pick a lesser option when you actually QUALIFY for better options. And those options come quickly too.

If you out here waiting 5, 10, 15 years and that better option ain't came yet, then you clearly don't qualify for them. Water finding its own level isn't "settling".
