I made a post about Will I am a while ago. The BEP tried to do that "real" hip hop music and people ignored them. I bought their first 2 albums as they were on some boom bap shyt even getting Primo to produce a single on the 2nd album. Absolutely no one paid them any attention. FF to years later, they add Fergie, do world tours, sell millions, and now the people that ignored them paid attention and now want them to do "real hip hop". Fans are fake. I didn't like the music they did with Fergie at all, but it's what they did to survive. Fast Forward years after their run with Fergie, they returned to their roots with those hip hop albums and the people ignored them again.

Man I remember they had a music video that was a spoof of an infomercial literally whitewashing hip-hop to appeal to White people.
