yep, that was BEP Empire produced by Primo. They really tried to do this hip hop shyt but hip hop fans are the worst kind of mfers in the world. You put out classic albums, they don't listen or support you. You start doing mainstream music, they strt criticizing because you're not making music for them..
then Fergie left and went BACK and did a three piece hip hop album and everyone lamed out on them, so of course they went back to what made them money.
Hell no. All that trolling shyt he came in the game with is what turned me completely off to him and his music.

He’s got like 3 songs I fukk with but i’ve never listened to a full Tyler album and never will.
that's like laming out on Earl off his first shyt.

Tyler derives from his influences without sounding derivative. There's two halves of his career. OF Tyler which was up to Cherry Bomb, and then from Scum fukk Flower Boy onto now. The 2nd half of his career has been amazing to listen to as he figures it out.

EDIT: Tyler basically described you on Massa

Yeah, when I turned twenty-three, that's when pubеrty finally hit me
My facial hair started growin', my clothing ain't really fit mе
That caterpillar went to coc00n, do you get me?
See, I was shiftin', that's really why Cherry Bomb sounded so shifty
My taste started changin' from what it was when they met me
But first impression is everything, ain't wanna let me go

Always curious as a child and askin' questions, so
I ain't give no fukks, if, and, buts if they accept me

Got nothing to do with age, the nikka just corny to me and I don’t check for his shyt at all and had no clue he got a fan base like that
everyone lives in an echo chamber now. We live in a country where you could have the number 1 song here for months and most of the country can still say "I've never heard this song in my life."

Radio dead, we really just add who we listen to to our Apple Music or whatever and keep it pushing :ehh:

As an 80s baby :flabbynsick:from North Carolina, can I ask seriously, who is his demo? I've never encountered a Tyler fan before. Like who is his target market making him so big?

White teens. Same ones who liked that cringe awful Odd Future shyt

I was around for the OF era because I was in college at the time. Liked Earl the most out the collective. Thought Tyler was talented but never in a million years did I think he'd be number one on the charts type big.... Then again I didn't think his music would take this direction. I can see that his music is evolved and more refined but outside of like 2 or 3 songs I don't quite see the hype. He not making music that I'm going out of my way to revisit. Maybe I gotta give it more of a chance

People being concerned about units "sold" in an age without physical media will always baffle me. The way DSPs quantify sales seems flawed at the least and flat out rigged at the worst.

Idk why nikka still do this here over a decade late. Everybody has adjusted between then and now.

nikkas coming in to say "streams aren't real" when he's one of the rappers that sell lot arenas and do a world tour and have his own festival/carnival.

This forum is wildly out of touch. And not even funny anymore. All the younger booth posters either couldn't take the heat and got ran out or realized they get better traction in any other forum. Section full of old weird out of touch nikkas that just wanna argue about 80-90s rap still

Tyler is undeniably one of the biggest rappers right now and has been for years now. So nikkas acting surprised always surprises. This is basically a underground hip-hop group that cultivated a following for years that allowed Tyler, earl, Syd/the internet, frank ocean, vince staples etc to build their own careers even after.

This should be fukking applauded
