If they price themselves out of business the customer loses. So far only Lyft has got traction as a competitor and they are in trouble too.
I don't think you are reading my post right.
I'm not attacking Uber for trying to lower prices, I'm attacking the entitled drivers who think they are entitled to a salary floor.

The CEO is back there with what looks like two "OMG the UBER CEO' Sillicon Valley club rats lecturing about competition and personal responsibility. I'm guessing typical SV CEO, white privileged background, prestigious education....It's pretty reprehensible, but a reflection of our country and values all the same, which makes it that much more sickening. I'met dozens of guys in Uber in the same exact spot as the driver in the video, totally underwater, faced with more and more Uber drivers everyday, constantly driving down the price.

*sidenote: the CEO really uses Uber himself, that's bizarre, and a recipe for these kinds of 'exposals'.
I guess the uber CEO should just do whatever his employees want so they can go out of business and they all lose their jobs anyway?

And why is it 'reprehensible' that he came from a prestigious background? His grandparents were immigrants and came to this country at the bottom of the ladder so that their future generations would have a chance. Looks like he's just cashing in.

And sure he might have had access to opportunities, but you don't get to where he is by accident. You make it sound like he slept through class and got handed billions of dollars to start a company.

Its not the CEO's fault that the driver put all his eggs in this basket, a job that requires no skill and can be done by anyone. And I think it's odd that anyone here would trust his business acumen over the guy in the backseat who actually built the company.

rich people aren't always the enemy.

This YT comment sums it up:

This driver is correct. You've lost my business (to Lyft and Cabs) because I felt so guilty for how little money the Uber drivers made. You do not include a tip option (I always tip in cash, unless I don't have it on hand). With Lyft, I can tip them. You aren't paying your drivers a living wage. You've made a Huge mistake on taking your business on the lowest margins (for the drivers, not you). And, after you watching you drunk in an uber, and blaming the driver, I'm done with you Uber. Lyft (and cabs) all the way. This driver was totally right. You had the business in your hands and you made bad choices, and, evidently, you're kind of an a$$hole.

uber drivers are just as dumb as the people who drive for cab companies instead of owing their own cab

all they have to do is make your transportation llc, hand your cards out to people who drive uber and tell them to call you direct instead whenever they need a ride

you can get a credit card processor and take cash, and all that, matter of fact you really just need to have a contract with a few businesses who need to their clients, or employees driven around when they travel to your city

never gonna happen. the driver is only one person and can only accommodate so many people at a time.

what happens when you need a ride for 6 but your driver can't get there until 8 cause he's out driving someone else, you're gonna wait? also are you on call? are you ready to give someone a ride anytime at any moments notice?

like I said, not gonna happen.

There's literally people who did this everyday it's called THE TRANSPORTATION INDUSTRY

Metrocars been doing this shyt way before UBER was ever thought of lmao
I got two limos and a party bus lmao

Like I said, you give the people you card, they call you to schedule a trip, if you're already booked up, THEN THAT'S GOOD FOR YOU IT MEANS YOUR MAKING MONEY

You're thinking in terms of competing with an Uber which is not what you are doing, you just bringing in cash flow for yourself

mental midget, stop talking about business you don't have a business bone in your body

you literally can work for one business and drive people around for them, and make way more than make with uber per month

I'm not sure it's that simple in some states they have laws in place that create monopolies for cab companies.

You are severely stupid

if you all booked up it's because you have repeat business

you only need 3-4 clients to serve for yourself on a regular basis

being all booked is never a bad thing you fukking idiot

you're here talking about converting uber customers into private customers but you aren't offering the same service. you're one guy. people will continue to use uber for the convenience. no one is going to use you privately and work around your schedule.

"Sorry honey master teacher said he just sat down to have lunch. Looks like we have to wait..."
