obfuscating won’t save your uninformed opinion.

The matter of fact is Medicare covers 30% of Americans and does it way more efficiently than any private insurer. No reason why it wouldn’t be able to keep administrative costs low given additional users.

Why do you want us to continue wasting 17% of our premiums on middle men?
who said i did :heh:

typical HL rhetoric. 'you questioned an aspect of what i said, so that means you support the republicans' :mjlol:

:russell: this bores me

I just exposed the fact that your favorite politician hasn't won public office in nearly 20 years :mjlol: and now you claim to be "bored"? :mjlol:

you're right, the US government is an efficient machine that never wastes money, or goes over budget, or spends money that it doesnt have, and there's no chance it can fukk up healthcare

Number 1: Asserting with certainty things that are open to question.

Number 2: Responding to objections to these assertions with mere repetitions and/or restatements without giving consideration to the objections.

Number 7: When multiple people are saying that there is something seriously wrong with your point (or even just how you’re presenting your point), you don’t assume that EVERYONE ELSE is wrong or not understanding your Super Intelligent And Reasonable Point. In these cases it is most likely that: 1) You are lacking critical evidence/using bad evidence to form your “reasonable” argument, or 2) Failing to understand a critical perspective (or perspectives) that either contradict your evidence or show that there are more valid options than just your argument.

Number 8: Do not assume that your argument is “objective”. Recognize that you are a human being who brings your own biases into a conversation and even when your argument is supported by facts that does not mean that it is objective. Facts can be objective; the conclusions that we draw for them can’t be.

To be fair, like 70% of your posts are just Republican talking points. :ehh:

Which is fine if that's how you feel, but you shouldn't really be surprised that most people on here consider you a right-winger.

It’s wild how certain Americans are never afraid to shoot for the moon and innovate and brag about being the best at everything unless it involves saving lives of its citizens (universal healthcare, gun control, etc).

Once you talk about changing things to save lives, certain people will always throw their hands up in defeat... despite not ever really trying. The shyt is mind boggling.

Well, I hate to play the "race card" but that's mostly what healthcare comes down to in America.

Certain segments of voters don't want their tax money paying for the "wrong" people to get healthcare. And I don't mean obese people.

If America was more racially homogeneous we'd probably already have single payer.

Absolutely.

After WW2, the U.S helped Europeans set up their national health care plans as part of the Marshall plan.

Truman tried to do the same for the country, but he met the most intense opposition in the South because they would have had to desegregate their hospitals.

The irony is the South had the most to gain because they had the worst healthcare in the country.

White people dont act rationally when race comes in to play.

japan does not have single payer healthcare :yeshrug:

Still have universal insurance though, and if you aren’t rich the government covers like 90% of the cost.

If you think you’re dumbass American government can’t handle healthcare then at least have the government make sure everyone has good insurance, it’s not nearly as good as single payer but it works better than what the states have now.

no one in these threads can ever name one thing that the government does efficiently :childplease:

public transportation? :mjlol:
education? :mjlol:
construction? :mjlol:

i dont trust them to carry out healthcare without it being an absolute cesspool of inefficiency and entitled, un-fireable government workers who all NEED 80% pensions

If the government really can’t do any of that right then the whole thing needs taken apart. :mjlol:

Those are some of the basics, my local government provides a lot of that shyt and they do it better than the private companies.
