Just enjoy the music if it speaks to you... it's why they made it... popular opinion.

And even more unpopular opinion is I like Gibbs regular albums better than his alc albums. I prefer his more Midwestern sounding stuff. I also think till the casket drops was a good album and still don't understand why "showing out" wasn't the single.

It’s facts. Pharrell got in his bag on a lot of those tracks but he was also the worst part on some in my opinion. Clipse are on a different level when it comes to pure lyricism and rhyme schemes but Alfredo 2 is a better listen start to finish.
I'm still disappointed that Pharrell didn't give them any up tempo beats

Ya'll need to learn how to enjoy music that isn't made by Alchemist.

Clipse album is a lot more interesting musically than Alfredo 2. My problem with Alchemist these days is too many of the beats are kinda airy and etherial. They lack melody. It kinda just turns into background music. I still like it but what Pharrell is doing is a lot more dynamic and varied.

Bars wise there is no contest. Both Malice and Pusha got several verse of the year contenders on there. Gibbs is spitting too but the Clipse album is like a rap powerhouse performance.

This happens with every Alchemist album to me. There's no surprises. He makes the same style beats over and over and it's same tempo. Individually the beats might be solid to dope but all together it gets repetitive. Play any of the albums he drops in a year and they all feel the same.

I can't accept the Al is the GOAT talk. He's a volume shooter who releases a ton of consistent music but he doesn't have range. Put the Alfredo albums next Bandana and Pinata and they don't hold up at all. There's far more variation in the production with Madlib. You have no idea what Madlib is going to give you track to track. Al could never make an album like Madvillainy.

There's producers who are better and more talented than Al. He just keeps feeding you music.

There's a few beats in the Clipse album I wasn't that high on but I rank it over Alfredo 2 as a whole because the Gibbs gets repetitive and Pusha and Malice are better. It's not a fair comparison because one is an underground album while the other has to have some mainstream appeal. I like both for what they are. I like So Be It better than any beat Al did though.

Alfredo 2 probably more cohesive project but like some recent projects from Alchemist...the production is very similar on all songs.

Probably the only flaw (Larry Junes verse also) but it's still a great album.

Clipse album has a skip on the album which for me is "All Things Considered", we still doing Dream hooks in 2025 :francis: & i can't stand the beat on that song...only fukk with the first few bars because i can relate.

Some of the hooks on the album are a bit cheesy too.

BUT Clipse album HIGHS are much higher then Alfredo 2 HIGHS.

It's a tough call, i just sit back & enjoy both...:yeshrug:
