Can we finally put to bed the whole argument of "xyz emcee can't handle a big stage url battle" Because here we have 2 top tier battlers, known for performance, have legendary status on the url, but they had a very underwhelming battle at the "Super Bowl" of battle rap.

This took the wind out of any reach angle Holla brought. Surf legit 2-1'd this dude, doesn't even seem arguable.

this is battle rap, you gotta shyt on dudes for whatever will get a crowd reaction. same reason you can shyt on dudes for getting locked up for gun possession. or for going to college.

i personally think its hilarious that big gerald was wearing an extra extra medium and surf aint bring it up.

I think the comments about "not being able to handle the stage" has more to do with composure, not choking, and not appearing obviously nervous.

That said, I actually think Surf looked nervous for a good part of the battle. He loosened up as it went along... he probably realized he was in there.

Two observations:

1. Having watched the battle and thinking back to the pre-reactions on this forum makes me realize how many nikkas in here already have a preferred outcome.

Anyway, Surf took this clearly 2-1 and I'm tempted to call that first round a toss up. As creative as Holla gets with his prop to win, Show Out is getting beyond annoying. I'm tired of that easily excitable little nikka, brehs. Surf stayed at a consistently high level the whole battle. It's not that Holla doesn't come with three rounds, his highs are so high it's impossible to stay consistent. That 3rd was trash, doe

I thought Surf was outmatched going against Hitman but I got him winning 2-1

Hitman got the 1st rd clearly..Surf was cooking too but he stopped his rd short so I gave that one to Hitman...Surf got the 2nd...the 3rd was looking debatable until Hitman let the crowd get to him..the way he ended that round was underwhelming...overall Surf was more consistent so I gave him the win

Hitman said a lot of cold shyt but he also said some bs this battle...comparing yourself to Venus and Serena :duragdahell: I know Showout was like when he first heard that line....and can somebody please tell him that Racquet =/= Ratchet...that was by far the biggest reach of the battle
