IDK we should take responsibility for the quality of our FAs. Anyway Nigeria will do well in 2018.

Depends on the group they land in. I read FIFA will split the 4 pots based on the FIFA ranking instead of instead of having one pot with the seeds and the rest based on region.

Looking at the current ranking it means they can end up in the same group as Brazil and Spain which wouldn't be good for any team.

I can see Nigeria playing up to their competition. 2014 was a decent showing for them and they barely got eliminated by France ( Matuidi shouldve been sent off). This team is better than the 2014 team IMO. I predict a QF finals appearance for them in 2018.

Never heard of the guy. Looked him up in hopes we was local to me. Sadly he's in California. Also kind of scary that he was at the helm when La Masia started its downward trend. Regardless, he would be beneficial to the USSF youth development.
Yeah
I am not saying he has the answers but that individualism aspect is really interesting issue.

Gulati will not resign. If he isn't voted out, US Soccer has accepted what it is.
It'll be sad if he isn't voted out.

But eventually we'll have to realize that not enough people in powerful positions really care about the state of US soccer.

If they did we would have already made the changes necessary to compete at a high level.:yeshrug:

Aye...,so if you got a young son what's the best way to get him on track for those huge Rinaldo/messi payday? :jbhmm: you gotta move to Europe? :jbhmm:

You're Bay Area right?

BAY AREA
  1. De Anza Force
  2. EBU Bay Oaks
  3. Marin FC Alliance
  4. San Francisco Elite Academy
  5. San Francisco Glens Evolution
  6. San Jose Earthquakes
  7. Santa Cruz Breakers Academy
  8. Santa Rosa United
  9. Silicon Valley Soccer Association
  10. Star Academy FC
I'd start with looking into one of these local academies. These teams are part of the US Soccer Development Academy which is the highest form of training we currently have in this country. If you child is good enough and dominates playing for one of these teams he'll start to get recognized for the ODP program and the US Youth National teams. Ultimately the goal would be to get your child into a European academy to be trained, but that's not as easy to do unless you have ancestors who can allow you an easier path to getting to live and play overseas. If you don't have ancestors (don't think I do myself) you child would have to more then likely wait until they turn 18 to move overseas.

Pretty much .

Make sure he loves the game and wants to do it and encourage creativity

Do you have any connections or ancestry to Europe?

thanks...i don't have kids yet, but when i do i'm going all in on soccer. the US isn't going to want to keep getting left behind in this sport so this seems like the perfect time to get kids ready to get paid lol

My son just turned four. He kicks the ball with me and did a Saturday morning class a couple months ago. I think the time is right to get him really involved though. Luckily here in Seattle the sport is very big.
