I've watched this joint 5 times. I thought Hollow got a clear 2-1 win as it happened. But each subsequent viewing it's more difficult to call. Hollow benefitted a lot from expectations: Lux couldn't really live up to the unfair expectations people put on him, and cats were definitely sleeping on Hollow's ability to go toe-to-toe with Lux due to a couple of his most recent battles. So even though they both brought the heat, Hollow's seemed to be a little hotter. Boils down to what you like most in a battle. shyt was phenomenal, exceeded the hype. I still give it to Hollow by the slightest of margins. He kept me more engaged and entertained.

:shaq2: Lux also benefitted from having a lot of stans and casuals dikkriding him because of the Calicoe battle though.... You could see it in the crowd sometimes. Hollow got boo'd on a lot of shyt for example.

Nah, I think the casuals ride with Hollow. he's easy to understand, and you dont really need battle rap or even rap knowledge to undertand him

Wheras Lux, sh!t will go over the heads of even battle rap stans.

CACS also not fukkin with that black panther sh!t.

Wheras Lux, sh!t will go over your head if you dont know what he's talkin about.
Who gets more YT hits on his battles, Lux or Hollow? Who has battles that draw in enough viewers to where he can successfully demand 40k for 3 rounds of work? Who coined memes (this work, etc).

Lux is the popular one, sorry breh.

:aicmon: you don't have any metrics to support that conclusion. You have data on how much battle rap fans rewatch or whatever? You're spinning shyt.

Lux is (was) Floyd Mayweather. Undefeated, inactive, and the best at what he does.... And a lot of casuals tune in to see him fight when he wants to.

:aicmon: let me explain it to you in simpler terms so you can understand. I said that Lux is a bigger name, more people tune into his shyt. The more people that tune in for an event, the more casual viewers are watching. That's just the way it works. The hardcore will always be a smaller, set portion of the fanbase that fluctuates slowly over time but doesn't really randomly tune in en masse for one event in particular; they watch almost everything. This time a TON of people came out. Why you think that is. A great example would be why the playoffs/world series etc get more views. Because the matchups have a higher demand. Higher demand means people can set higher premiums for content; this being on PPV and almost not on Youtube at all being an example. Also Lux charging a huge fee... The only reason they paid his request is because they know that by having him on the card, a huge amount of people will tune in. And people will be willing to pay more at the door to see him... and they did.

Higher contract prices, PPV paywall, more youtube hits.... More popularity. It's simple business, not silly talk. Lux is the popular one. Hollow could battle literally anyone else in battle rap and it would be a straight to Youtube joint.

Facts.

No one is disputing that Lux is the popular one...he's the better battle rapper, so of course he will be more popular.

What im referring to is CASUAL FANS....Hollow benefits the most from a casual fan because a casual fan wont understand half of what Lux is saying.

Maybe in terms of some of the references sure... But you could just as easily argue that they'd miss a lot of Hollow's rebuttals and personals some of which incorporate references to earlier battles, and shyt that happened outside of the battles themselves. They were a good portion of his argument.
