when I worked sales, I was taxed 36-44% of my entire commission checks (on which it would land a lot on the same check as my regular hourly check too)

let's say you made around 50-55k in california
your taxed income % would be 9.3%
now hold that 9.3%
and realize that if you made the same wages (in GBP) in the UK
the amount of your total income that would be taxed
is 40%
here's another:

Italy 38%
belgium 54%

unless you're a bum who doesn't work, your college isn't "free" and neither is that healthcare
you kick in for other people to go to college too, by way of those rape tax rates.
i'm already a college graduate, with gainful employment and excellent healthcare provided and paid for by my employer
i'm also graduating next june with my masters degree, and my employer is also picking up most of the tab on that too
oh and i got my undergrad debt free
