again, for all you dumbasses that think the servers make 100% of the tip....THEY DON'T. They have to split it with like 4-5 different groups depending on the restaurant they work at.
Fine dining establishments![]()
What's stopping a restaurant in our country from doing the same? Ohh, the promise of getting tips is so intriguing. It's the restaurant owners issue, but the customers get the bad end of the stick. How ass backwards is that?Right!! Other countries pay their wait staff a salary.
Tell me this: How did you feel when you got a $20 tip?
how many good looking waitresses have you seen in your life?
the only females making good tips are maybe the ones at hooters, but the demand there is so high that many females don't get hired there.
the median salary of waiters/waitresses in the U.S. was $18,590 and the minimum wage salary was $15,080. i wouldn't consider that as doing better...I would say they are both struggling about the same.
You just proved my point they do better than people making min wage.
Don't get me wrong. a 20 dollar tip is good and its better than the 3 dollar tips you get sometimes.. But not for a fukking 500 dollar meal. Especially When you serving a bunch of nikkas who make you go back and forth for refills and dumb shyt.
I routinely give $20 tips at apple bees and Chilis , Olive Garden and TGIF, on 45-55 dollar meals. And I ain't even balling like that.
Something my father taught me to do. Good service is worth it.
I remember one time I waited this cac family from Long Island and the father kept trying to hold convo with me. Telling me to work hard and to "wait tables now, to own tables later"
They had a 250 dollar meal and he gave me an $100 tip with a note that said "Keep Going"
If you wanna ball, ball all the way or dont ball at allnikkas wanna talk about how much $$$ they got, but then only wanna give a 20$ tip.
How does the cist if the food dictate more of a tip, tho?
20 dollars is plenty of money for a tip. A $500 meal didn't mean the server worked much harder it just means u paid a lot for your food. Aint no way I'm giving $20 for a tip that's a whole meal right there. It's not my job to pay the servers wage it's the restaurants. Smh at people getting mad cause people should tip more when they hate should be at the restaurant for the poor pay they give.
Because the work you do goes up. More plates brought to the table. More drinks. More alcohol.
Are you saying that a person who brings on plate of Chicken Parm and a Coke, deserves the same tip as someone who brings 5x Chicken Parms, 5x Cokes, 3x Fries, 5x Steaks, 7x Beers, 9x Ribs over the course of 5 trips back and forth??
no you didn't make a point because you didn't quantify what "doing better" was.
anyone making less than 20K a year is struggling. GTFOH with whatever bullshyt argument you're trying to make
