They had to do something to allow Bron to become a superstar and live up to the hype:wow:

It gets spooky when you begin to imagine how much guys like Kobe,T Mac,Vince would have scored in this era. Iverson would have been downright scary to try to stop if you couldn't get up on him tight or destroy him once he gets in the lane:wow:

He averaged 31 ppg in 2006 dumbass

He said the game is more skilled. I think the top players from Vince's era were more skilled than he top players from this era. He also said that today's players couldn't play in his era.
he probably means in terms of shooters in every position. Something like forwards and centers being 3pt shooters was a rarity back then and nowadays its what teams draft for

This is all by design, it's no wonder that viewership continues to increase and the flow of the game is much faster and not such a slog to watch.

Kudos to Silver (and maybe Stern)

Those 125-120 80s games were all a dream and never happened eh?

Early 1990s Blazers had hardly any outside shooting, no post presence, only 2-3 really usable guys off the bench, and yet averaged 115ppg.

I think a lot of the people complaining now are young guys who know literally nothing of the previous eras, or old heads just stuck on "These damn kids!"

Meanwhile when we were actually in the mid 90s, the NBA were considered shyt and watered down by expansion. Now in 2018 it’s the glory days. All star Tyrone Hill. Lol.

@Mars
Right, ain't nobody averaging no damn 40-45ppg today :mjlol:

In 2006, which was a crazy scoring year where 3 players averaged over 31ppg (when was the last time that happened?) it helped that 9 players were playing 40+ minutes per night. LeBron averaged 31.4ppg and this year is at 27ish. He should be averaging 35-40 according to them right?

This year no player averages 38 mpg. It's a new league. Nobody is gonna score 40ppg
