I live in Virginia and I will not vote for anyone calling for Fairfax to resign.

And maybe he didn't either.

Due process.
I dont care who you vote for, just vote. The most important issues are the local bills and initiatives.

We got idiots in TLR telling people not to vote at all. :beli:
Which I have a problem with.

Cornfields, cows, & an one stoplight town
Awfully convenient timing

People always say this, but if you're the victim of a crime and have to see someone's name in the news everyday, and then other victims come forward, it's more likely you'll feel like you have some support coming forward. Visibility during an election or nomination or high profile event is gonna raise the likelihood that the victim has to relive or at least think about what you did even more than normal. It's not wonder then that when people get their most press and/or other victims come forward, more victims come out. It doesn't mean they aren't credible. Besides both of these women told their friends about the rapes years before he almost became governor.

I wonder if this will ever lead to people pulling back from their digital presence. Some of you know I'm a teacher...about ten years ago a group of kids pulled a picture off my facebook page and put it in their presentation for a goof. It was a completely harmless picture, but it freaked me out. Ive tried to have zero profile since.

But, you dapped this;

Y’all still don’t understand how this works. Focus on black issues = no chance. She needs white votes just like any other politician and you know how non blacks feel about black issues.:francis:

What's the point in voting if you believe we need to vote in line with racists?

For record, I don't care who you vote for. Just vote, there's bigger issues at play then just the candidates that are put in office. There's actual bills, measures and propositions that directly affect people locally.

The two statements aren't mutually exclusive though. Tribalism in this country still exist, so you can't be blatant about your agenda as a minority without running the risk of being blackballed to some capacity. There's a reason why many Americans are worried about the changing demographics. Numerical wise they'll be limited in their future attempts to consolidate power if they lose their majority.

With that said there's other ways to influence policy without being blatant. How about actually writing or advising the policy. The average person doesn't read or isn't aware of changes to policy, they just know that certain infomercials send off trigger warnings, which illicit hostile responses .

The most hilarious shyt about this is that the people who are screaming guilty are the same people who were screaming due process with Kavanaugh. And the people who are screaming due process was screaming guilty with Kavanaugh:mjlol:

They don't care about the alleged crime, all politics.

You typed all that just to circle back to the point I was making?

1. Your way is the reason things are were they are.

Obama was never demanded to make this an issue. Seems to me that doubling black money (which would be astronomical) wouldn't even make up a quarter of white money. But, he needs white votes.

2. Bills mean little to nothing without people to execute them.

I just voted for a citizen police review board and it went through. Doesn't mean shyt if my sheriff was voted on because he'll do the bidding of racists.

3. We have this problem with black poltiicians in areas where the population is 60% black, but, there biggest concern is DACA for Latinos.

What happened to the 'Vote or you ain't s***' crowd? Seriously, where ya'll at?

Check the update on this thread.

UPDATE: Rep. Hank Johnson/House rep for GA's 4th District; 60% Black...10% Hispanic.

:beli:

This, "they can't do for black people" reasoning is reasoning for black people not to vote.

The gov't isn't made up of separate, isolated systems. And you cause social collapse telling people not "to alienate the dominant society."

We're living in a society where white folks eat black people because their politics are directly addressed. You have to push back.

It's almost too easy to bring up slavery and Jim Crow laws.

Honestly, if you live in a constituency that's 60% black there's no reason to not push through legislation or an agenda that empowers black people. I was speaking more so in general.

But yeah I can see the political farce if you're in an area that is mainly black, where the minority is still able to consolidate power. This shouldn't happen at all.

With that said, voting is only one part of the equation. The people voted in need to be held accountable, as well as know that there are consequences for not doing their job. There's a reason why non tea party members were voted out with the quickness if they didnt conform during the obama years.
