now find the study that shows that having adequate levels of Vitamin D is associated with living two years longer or the one that sows that Vitamin D is about WAY more than bone health, you might even say that it is more so about "extraskeletal" healthMeh, like these.
Racial differences in rate of decline in bone mass in older men: the Baltimore men's osteoporosis study. - PubMed - NCBI
Racial Differences in Bone Strength
Longitudinal study of changes in hip bone mineral density in Caucasian and African-American women. - PubMed - NCBI
There were more studies but I got lazy. Anybody can find and read them.

Just because your bones may get first dibs on your vitamin D stores leaving other functions wanting (and sadly their effects may be more pernicious and harder to diagnose
Vitamin D fights cancer, it supports you immune system etc etc ...
So you can ignore your vitamin D if you want but other black people should not, in fact they should strive to reach levels closer to 75 rather than 30ng/dl

The article in the op mentions concentrates on bone health so much because there are studies that won't be done until 2017 that can provide more data on what vitamin D can do outside of affecting bones.
My main concern(theirs too) is that they are worried African Americans might be over-prescribed in the process of boosting our intake of the vitamin and be harmed or might benefit from it.
I think the link below does a better job of looking at the vitamin with closer scrutiny and why we should not change our habits just yet.

Eggs are necessary daily for the average male just make sure to pair with Omega 3 to keep the cholesterol in check. But the real thing that helps keep cholesterol good is keeping your bile production good which means a strong liver. Bitter herbs improve bile production so add spices/herbs to your omelette in the morning.
I been studying this shyt for 10+ years since I was 19 you got a lot of catching up to do. Hit the books (Google)
99% of African Americans have low levels of Vitamin DMy main concern(theirs too) is that they are worried African Americans might be over-prescribed in the process of boosting our intake of the vitamin and be harmed or might benefit from it.
