What prediction and analysis are you talking about? You reading studies from the political science department at Duckburg university?

There was no study I pointed to that says "black voters can never swing any election ever", only that these types of laws generally depress black turnout. The result of one particular election in Alabama doesn't in any way mean votes aren't being suppressed.

The point is that voter ID laws affect more black people because the types of ID allowed to vote are the types of ID that blacks lack the most. It's not that black people are too stupid to register to vote nor have ID.

I posted the statistics that showed that 600k Texans of various races were affected. That's a fact that's not anecdotal.

Furthermore, the affects of voter ID laws if they remain unchanged, as well as other factors such as Alabama having to reverse course on closing down DMVs also remain unchanged, the affects of voter ID laws will have diminishing returns over time. Considering the special election in Alabama happened a month after their other elections its safe to say people who were turned away in November knew what the deal was in December. That still doesn't change that they were affected in November and an undue and unnecessary burden was placed on them so that they could vote. That is the crux of the argument.

Here is a fair analogy for the holiday season. If I purchase an item and have the receipt I'm able to return that item with the receipt almost anywhere.

If I buy a ticket online I'm blessed to get into the game with the app I used to purchase the ticket or just the ticket. I don't have to show my card and ID.

Similarly, when I register to vote I should be able to Vote with the receipt (voter registration card) like in the ticket scenario and in the extreme I should be blessed to vote with the card (receipt) and whatever I used I to get that.
