Claim you're posting "facts" and not anecdotes and then post a bullshyt FOX News clip that's nothing but people stating their opinions, brehs. :francis:

But if at some point you care for non-alternative facts -

Wisconsin Strict ID Law Discouraged Voters, Study Finds
Study: Voter ID laws hit minorities

So again

The entire point of the nytimes article is to point out that the predictions and analysis that you just pointed to did not play out in AL

The facts are that the predictions and analysis turned out to be wrong

What prediction and analysis are you talking about? You reading studies from the political science department at Duckburg university? :dahell:

There was no study I pointed to that says "black voters can never swing any election ever", only that these types of laws generally depress black turnout. The result of one particular election in Alabama doesn't in any way mean votes aren't being suppressed.

The prediction and analysis was that the black vote would be surpressed by voter id laws in AL, did you not read what you posted?

Yeah i would agree that al is just a data point, but it’s a data point that contradicts the narrative from those links you just posted

The predictions did not play out in AL hence this article, it’s amazing that that went over people’s heads

So you're going to ignore that line about Moore being a pedophile suppressing a lot of the white vote and the millions spent to get voters registered to overcome the ills of voter ID laws?

The point is that voter ID laws affect more black people because the types of ID allowed to vote are the types of ID that blacks lack the most. It's not that black people are too stupid to register to vote nor have ID.

I posted the statistics that showed that 600k Texans of various races were affected. That's a fact that's not anecdotal.

Furthermore, the affects of voter ID laws if they remain unchanged, as well as other factors such as Alabama having to reverse course on closing down DMVs also remain unchanged, the affects of voter ID laws will have diminishing returns over time. Considering the special election in Alabama happened a month after their other elections its safe to say people who were turned away in November knew what the deal was in December. That still doesn't change that they were affected in November and an undue and unnecessary burden was placed on them so that they could vote. That is the crux of the argument.

This black people are smart enough strawman you're making is WOAT level posting.

You don’t have to explain the theory behind voter id suppression, I fully understand it

So again for the umpteeth time, the whole point of the article was to point out that the AL election contradicted the theory of voter id voter suppression

Actually the point of the article is to show that voter ID laws have varying affects and mobilization efforts are likely a leading cause for high black voters turnout despite efforts to suppress votes.

Further and maybe more importantly the article shows that voter suppression can and likely will sway close elections. The point you're ignoring is that if 2 percent of whites were affected, like they were in Texas, the election could have swung the other way.

You're struggling with critical thinking and analysis.

The point of the article is exactly what the title says, the Alabama election brought into question the voter id voter suppression theory

None of y’all actually read the article, y’all just going of what the op quoted

I don’t need any lectures about your theories that have already been shown to be on shaky ground

There is no debating the number of registered voters (REGISTERED) who because of new laws are unable to vote, despite being able To register.

Here is a fair analogy for the holiday season. If I purchase an item and have the receipt I'm able to return that item with the receipt almost anywhere.

If I buy a ticket online I'm blessed to get into the game with the app I used to purchase the ticket or just the ticket. I don't have to show my card and ID.

Similarly, when I register to vote I should be able to Vote with the receipt (voter registration card) like in the ticket scenario and in the extreme I should be blessed to vote with the card (receipt) and whatever I used I to get that.

The issue with most of these laws is why I sufficient to register isn't sufficient to vote.
