There was a thread last year on why he wasn't more popular out of his era. A classic case of talent alone not the true indicator to a super star. You see the same in sports. Just feed your base & tour if he can't get another shot in the mainstream.

Wale should be fine cause he knows how to make decent radio friendly music and on top of that if things get really bad he can get a spot on WWE as a celebrity/personality for a payday.

How do you get a sample like this cleared . Do a video and still not put this song on the album .

He needs to stop giving his best songs away for free like Ross told him .

Get back to making great music and stop worrying about who you better than .

@NV-ME listen to the song I posted .

He dropped that right before his last album why wasn't this a single .

:mindblown: Makes no sense, this was a potential hit.

If you think about it his career trajectory basically been the exact same as the sneaker game:heh:

Big Wale fan fr. He did a lot imo w/ his circumstances but this shyt is fukkin hilarious :laff::laff::laff:

He'll bounce back tho, prolly moving over to Epic + his relationship wit other peers :yeshrug:

fukk Atlantic anyway, trash roster wit their talent that never did Wale 1st week #'s (yess, all the new nikkas, I been watching the sales). Capitalism over art. It is what it is.

He still delivered 5 albums....... :salute:

U realize they always have options on every contract right.

Maybe he was DROPPED because they didn’t PICK UP the option.

Wale was saying in 2016 that Shine was going to be his last album on Atlantic because they didn't see eye-to-eye at all and weren't promoting him (same way Atlantic did TI & Def Jam did Jeezy on their farewell albums). "PYT" was a hit but Atlantic dragged their feet on it and didn't release the album until a year later.

I remember he had interview a year or two ago (I wanna say Hot 97 or Breakfast Club) where he was heavily inferring that he couldn't wait to be out of his Atlantic deal and saying stuff like "I'll be a free agent" & "I'm not going to say anything about my label to futher delay my album so shoutout to Atlantic" when asked about the push backs.

I honestly think he put out some bullshyt with Shine to get off the label. That’s the ONLY excuse for that abortion of an album...

And we all talking bad about Wale when we’ve had examples time and again that ATLANTIC is the real problem. Saigon, TI, Lupe, and now Wale. That label sucks the soul out of the most talented rappers.

He is dope. Stop experimenting. Just rap.

Current personal top 5 when he is on.
