If Wale had all this going for him and still can't make it happen, I don't know what to tell you
If people behind the scenes aren't getting a return on their investment you already know it's I enjoyed his very early go-go sounding stuff (Studio 43 days) but he kinda lost me after that, including that marketing team concocted Mixtape About Nothing. My problem with Wale is he never really had a lane to me 
And all that Rafael De La Ghetto stuff he be spewing?

He did make it happen tho
He was a solid Tier 2 mainstream rapper and was in that league for years
You can’t stay hot forever and only a chosen few have the ability to reach tier 1 superstar status
