And let's be real, J. Cole has never been Kendrick. He doesn't get unanimous acclaim, if anything he gets fair to average acclaim from critics.. but one thing J. Cole does have and clearly judging from album sells, he's had it from day one.. is support. Fan support, label support, etc. Wale has never had that, especially on a Cole level.

Cole was set up to win from day 1, he's never faced the type of adversity and scrutiny that Wale has..

It's easy to tell someone to stop complaining when you're going triple platinum and selling out arenas. Meanwhile the person you're telling to stop complaining is battling label heads to even get a project out, receiving zero support and on top of that being scrutinized and poked at by fans and critics alike.

shyts like Lebron telling Demarcus Cousins to stop complaining and be happy he's in the NBA doing what he loves to do, completely dismissing the fact that his team is a laughing stock and completely undermining his skill by failing to put quality pieces around him and setting him up for success... and on top of that, is constantly being talked down upon by analysts for everything but what he's being paid to do, which is play basketball.

All of your post is true! I also think that it all comes down to the artists personality and the way they handle business. Kendrick and Coles personality are the same to me they come off humble, goofy (the entire TDE roster and Dreamville fam does from videos] and thankful, Drake is more business minded and ambitious(to a point a robot) but he is corny at times, but Wale is totally different. He comes off as a dikk and sometimes a bytch at times. I'm a fan but at times he acts like he deserves and is owed critical acclaim and praise when as am entertainer and artist success and acclaim is never guaranteed. Kendrick and cole comes off as if they know this and thankful for the success they have. Even drake comes off as thankful. Wale is the total opposite.

And I think wale us lyrically better than Cole and Drake and has better metaphors and world play than Sean, drake, Kendrick and cole. I think he should get the recognition but it doesn't work like that.
