That lightskinned square you hate will have the juice for a few years along with Bron on the backside of his career

As far as young cats go, Drummond, Greek Freak, Wiggins and AD look like stars in the making. Jury will be out on Ben Simmons

None of those dudes you listed have personality.

Curry's fans are 50% women who don't even watch basketball hence why he has half the votes Kobe has in the first ballot. Curry's demographic is the "relationship goals" demographic. A 3 pt chucker will never carry the NBA. Hell, Draymond Green is more exciting than he is.

There's legitimately two elite teams with the Cavs borderline and OKC inconsistent as hell
Most markets enter any given NBA year knowing they have ZERO shot so what's the point of tuning in? In Football, you can sneak in the playoffs and go on a run ala New York Giants or you can overcome lack of talent with scheme ala your team. In Baseball, teams can get hot at the right time and crush the buildings. In Basketball? There are no surprises after you go past the elite teams

When I was a kid growing up in PA, Allen Iverson had the place lit as fuk. He left and the Sixers have been irrelevant for over a decade. Many NBA markets can say the same thing about their local team. When was the last time Charlotte has been relevant in the NBA? Detroit? DC? Milwaukee? Salt Lake City? Phoenix? Minnesota? Memphis? Atlanta before last year? Sacramento? We're talking 9-10+ years of irrelevancy here with a sparse playoff appearance here and there that nobody take seriously

:scust: at the comments section bet they all prefer College Basketball to NBA cause they are "more fundamentally sound."

Consider this

LA sucks
NY has been irrelevant for a decade
Boston is rebuilding
Philadelphia sucks
Chicago and DC have both been stagnant
Most of the teams in Middle America and the south have been irrelevant for a long time

The league has a serious problem with balance of power. Only 3-5 teams feel like they can go all the way in any given NBA year. There's no reason for people in most of the other markets to bother tuning in

That's a good point, NFL can get away with big markets not having good teams because every game is important and fantasy football is easier to follow in football.

NBA and MLB to some extent can't afford to have teams in LA or the Northeast suck because those markets are the most populated and make the most money.

The 90s were all about one man, not an era.

Look at the ratings when that one man first retired
:ehh:

Twas a troll post to bait GSH to throw a fit.
Worked.

I wasn't talking about the 90s but you're probably right.

I just KNEW you could reply.
You're too easy

I work media tracking breh. We are having trouble as with the rest of the industry in tracking true viewership as much of it has moved online, particularly with younger viewers.

Guess which sport has the youngest viewers?

I take it that you will close your ears to this.

like I said 100x before, when Kobe is gone, who will carry this league?

:jbhmm:

Curry and GSW has been carrying the league all season And since last years playoffs. Other that that. Teams are pretty weak.

All the real superstars are old/washed up and about to retire

Lebron is done..... But never was really THAT popular. Just hated.

Durant needs to step it up.

Westbrook is probably the most exciting player and entertaining on and off court.

James harden is :manny:

Paul George is good but has no personality really.

Chris Paul and the clippers are:mjlol:

Best thing about this season really has been Kristaps, kobe and the Warriors.

Best era I can remember is the celtics big 3. Watching the NBA during those years was :ohlawd:

And that month span of linsAnity was:ooh:

But the NBA been in a quick decline since Lebron won his last title.:mjcry:

There's nothing to debate.
If you want to share which sport is leading in young viewership (I'm assuming 18-40, or whatever) state it.

I'm kind of sensing a defensive stance about an insignificant troll post I made.
