Naw shoplifting has definitely become an issue. I was just at Target and they increased security and put those little theft deterrents on all the clothes when they didn't used to do that. People are really struggling right now.

Plus Walmart is locking high theft items up behind glass and you can only pay for it in that area

Came in here to say this. All the mom and pop shops are rejoicing right now. New York did the smartest thing by not letting those fukkers come into the any of the boroughs. The only one that is near the five boroughs is the one in valley stream ( going into Long Island for you non-New Yorkers)

..I didn't show them my receipt and dude tried to take my shyt away...was so close to punching him but remained calm...

The manager let me go as it was only like $8 worth of grocery. I later found my receipt in my pocket.

Hope he got reprimanded.
