I don't see whoever they merge with not wanting to produce Superman and Batman movies

Netflix is not in on this. They do not want a studio, they are content buying content. They only poking around to raise the price. They said that back when Sundance made the previous takeover bid

That's for Sundance, you don't pass up the chance to own mega production companies. Especially when it's a legacy property with world famous IPs you'll make money on for eternity

I can see Netflix not wanting to own WWE or F1. Warner Bros is a different convo and falls in line to what they've been, what they are, and what could be next than owning singular properties. People didn't think streaming would work out for them and look at the world. It's just more evolution of what Netflix is than doing something they're not

Guess the rumors about Gunn when he was hired at DC might have been true. I remember they said he was never going to make half the films he proposed. He was just there to fill the gap until WB/ DC was sold and showcase the IP to increase the value. That's The reason he packed so many characters in superman and these first few projects.
