So why is everybody giving all the props to Kerr?
I think people are currently
over-rating Kerr. But that's gonna happen with common fans with a W-L record that they have right now.
Thus far, we've had the 9th easiest Strength of Schedule - .466. And during this 11 game win streak, the SOS is only .328.
Also, much like MJax's teams were improved, Kerr has the advantage of a team hitting it's prime (Steph/Klay/Dray and to a lesser extent Barnes) and again the roster is improved (Livingston, Barbosa)
But I do think he's made incremental improvements MJax wouldn't. E.g. the motion offense and the aforementioned defensive changes. In addition, putting players in position to succeed (E.g. hiding Barnes with the starters and telling him to rebound first. Finding Speights' role in the pick and pop.)
The real test is when our schedule heats up (starts today) and we start getting about 5-6 "real" games per month. We'll see how he handles it when the schedule gets tougher and of course the Playoffs. Much like Mjax, I think he has a short rope, he basically has to get to the Championship series in 2 years or else it's basically a wash.
