Everyone wanted to be like mike, he was probably the most liked superstar of opposing fans in sports history. I'm a die hard knicks fan he took our soul in the 90's but I never hated him. Nobody hated Jordan because he was so entertaining to watch play it was really amazing to watch him play. If you were not old enough to ever see him play you never will understand his true greatness

Its funny how lebron gets criticized for having a "superteam" when every championship team was a super team. nikkas act like James Worthy dont have a finals MVP while playing with Magic, and Joe Dumars while playing with Isiah. And Bill Russel with 7 other HOF's. Truth is every team that has won, there are exeptions of course, were star laden.

I was in middle school I dont recall there being hate, but damn those Piston fans used to go INNNNNNNN.
His number were consistent, he was consistently breaking records and awing everyone, you just couldnt hate on the guy. the numbers and consistency wouldnt allow it.
I remember Barkley and AI getting hate tho. AI was getting shat on up until he went to the finals then folks gave him respect for going head up with the Lakers like he did. It was impressive being as he's only 5'11 but played like he was Lebron's size. but prior to that, man they hated him with the passion.
He didn't get nearly the hate Lebron gets. Back then there was no internet, no social media, not widespread narrative beyond what the league and Nike put out. If Jordan was a star in today's age, a lot of his shady behavior would have gotten a lot more attention, and I think the reaction to his stardom would have been more mixed.

I was the same way. Actually rooted for him after he took our souls every year. I don't know how anyone could've hated Jordan. I hated every Bull except Jordan and Pippen.
My pops hated him though still does like he's still playing.
I remember when he was criticized because he couldn't get out of the east. Remember that Scottie Pippen migraine game? Its nothing like the social media hater-ade of today. He was just looked at like KD is now.

He wasn't even hated by Knicks fans from what I remember. His shoes were the best and NYC is the sneaker mecca, so even if you were a knicks fan you more than likely owned some jordans.
