Bosh & Pau were legit the same player, in fact Id actually take Memphis/Lakers Pau over Toronto Bosh. Bosh stats were better, but he still only made one all nba team (and that’s the only one he ever made) & Toronto only made the playoffs twice with buddy
This is actually on point and what I've long said, which inspired this thread:
While Pau and Bosh offered different characteristics to their game,
on balance, they are the same caliber of player...
Again, I'll say peak Bosh was probably a little better than peak Pau, but it wasn't by some significant measure by any stretch of the imagination. Chris Bosh never dominated a gotdamn thing---->neither did Pau. Their impact was roughly the same---->Bosh went to the playoffs twice as a #1 in the weaker conference; Pau went to the playoffs three times as a #1 in the stronger conference...
Pau was a great fit at #2 next to Kobe. Bosh was a great fit at #3 with LeBron. If Bosh would have come to Cleveland, a 60+ win team, he would have been a great fit as a #2. As it is, he did fine as a #3. Both guys had playoff struggles, Chris Bosh was routinely on milk cartons come playoff and Finals time in that Big 3 era...
The hyping of Bosh and downplaying of Pau is crazy.
Literally nobody in here has discredited Kobe for playing with Pau. Kobe Stans are using the bait and switch tactic, and the dummies in here are falling for it, to make people believe cats are slighting Kobe hust because we all dont agree Pau was trash...
Pau Gasol and Chris Bosh are the same caliber of player, any insinuation that Chris Bosh was a superior player is being really generous to him considering the roles he played, the numbers he put up, and the results he achieved, in correlation to Pau...
