You know what, Dominicans, like other immigrant groups from around the world with African ancestry or directly from Africa, don't want to be associated with black americans. The reasons may be wrong and ignorant, but it is what it is. "black" is the term used mostly for African American. So black Dominicans don't want to be called black. It does not mean we our denying our African roots.
I'm sorry that you over sensitive militants feel some type of way about that, but suck it up and work on fixing your image to the world. Don't be out there supporting drill rap and buying Lil boosie cds and then getting mad at other members of the African diaspora for not wanting to associate themselves with AAs.

I don't care what ya think ya obviously biased militant clowns. If our image is that of prostitution is because it's cheap to go to dr right now cause our tourism industry is poppin. Personally, I was raised in Harlem and sympathize and feel connected to blacks because I was raised here andthe majority of my ffriends have been black. So I have always been on ya side and always agree with the majority of what ya say when it comes to white supremacy, but when ya sit here and talk bad about MY community for doing the best we can without always looking for the white boogy man, then fukk that. We (dominicans) only been here around 30 to 40 years and already we are one of the main groups of business owners in the north east. Idk the number and I'm on my phone so I'm not looking it up, but look up how much American dollarsget sent back to dr. Where iI'm from we didn't have indoor plumbing just 10 years ago, and now my town is thriving and eating good.
